Gummi Blocks (KHII)
Gummi Blocks in Kingdom Hearts II come in a variety of forms and types that affect a Gummi Ship's stats and abilities during flight. Gummi Blocks are divided into two main categories: Material Gummies and Deco Gummies. Material Gummies form the base of the Gummi Ship, while Deco Gummies consist of Weapon, Movement, and Auxiliary Gummies.
Gummi Blocks have several stats:
Material Gummies (マテリアルグミ, Materiaru Gumi?), or Material/G, are divided into type by shape, they usually serve as the framework for a Gummi Ship. Material Gummies are divided into five types: Bevelled Gummies (エッジグミ, Ejji Gumi?, lit. "Edge Gummi") have sharp edges, Curved Gummies (カーブグミ, Kābu Gumi?, lit. "Curve Gummi") have rounded edges, Pipe/G (パイプグミ, Paipu Gummi?) are cylindrical in shape, Aero Gummies (エアログミ, Earo Gumi?) are flat pieces that give a boost in Mobility, and Gummi Lumps (セットグミ, Setto Gumi?, lit. "Set Gummi") are several Gummi Blocks lumped together into bigger shapes.
Although Material Gummies are listed as if each shape has its own independent stock, all Material Gummies are treated as the same type of Gummi in a single stock.
Weapon Gummies (ウェポングミ, Wepon Gumi?) are Gummi Blocks designed to damage enemies.
"Shooting Gummi") allow the Gummi Ship to fire projectiles by pressing .
Lock-On Gummies (ロックオングミ, Rokkuon Gumi?) allow the Gummi Ship to fire lasers by holding .
Slash Gummies (スラッシュグミ, Surasshu Gumi?) allow the Gummi Ship to perform melee strikes by pressing . Equipping multiple Slash Gummies allows the Gummi Ship to perform combo attacks. Using Slash Gummies decreases the Slash Gauge.
"Strike Gummi") are Gummi Blocks that damage enemies by colliding with them.
"Move Gummi") increase the Gummi Ship's Speed and Mobility.
Engine Gummies (エンジングミ, Enjin Gumi?) increase the Gummi Ship's Speed, allowing it to move faster.
Wing Gummies (ウインググミ, Uingu Gumi?) increase the Gummi Ship's Mobility, improving its speed when rolling.
"Extra Gummi") are Gummi Blocks with various applications.
Cockpit Gummies (コクピットグミ, Kokupitto Gumi?) increase the Gummi Ship's Power, boosting the amount of damage dealt with Weapon Gummies.
Shield Gummies (シールドグミ, Shīrudo Gumi?) allow the Gummi Ship to block enemy fire.
"Option Gummi") offer various bonuses and improvements to the Gummi Ship, usually to a specific attribute.
"Texture Set") add extra designs to paint Gummi Blocks in. However, not all Gummi Blocks can be painted.
The Weapon Gummies are named after spells and weapons from the Final Fantasy series.
The Gungnir is a recurring powerful spear.
