{{DTN|time=03:09, December 28, 2009 (UTC)|text=I'm going to make the same statement about user-staff issues that I've said before:
<p>"I definitely agree that regularly contributive editors are just as important as the staffers. When I speak to someone on the wiki about a matter, I completely ignore my rank, and their rank on the wiki. And that is the way that you should think as well, a rank means nothing when we are all working towards a common goal. The staff isn't meant to be a group of "higher-ups" who you should look up to; the staff is simply a group of editors that have been voted by the community to have more privileges to better the wiki. The community votes on the staff, so if you disagree with the staff's current actions and/or behavior ''due to their position'', you were the ones who put them into their positions."</p>
----
And on the subject of everyone coming together as friends... such a goal is a true fantasy. This is a ''wiki''. Every contributor, be they a staff member, regular user, or anonymous contributor will have different opinions on how vandals should be handled, articles should be organized, what is redundant material, and so forth. As great is it would be to have a completely unified community, the community's many different views and opinions is going to keep that from happening; there's no way around that. You can't change the community. And therefore, there are going to be arguments. There are definitely going to be users who don't like each other. And thee will ''definitely'' be edit conflicts and edit reverting. All of this is unavoidable; it's simply part of being part of a community made up of completely different people.
However, this doesn't make behavior such as senselessly reverting edits, disrespecting another user, edit warring, or putting another user down acceptable behavior. Just because we can never be 100% fully unified toward our common goal of improving the wiki with no issues along the way does not mean that it is okay to give up and do whatever you please. There is only one thing you will get out of that, and that is a ban from the wiki. We should all respect each other's opinions and ideas, because that we're all different. Just because you think an idea or method of making the wiki better means that everyone will think the same way. With such a large community of regularly contributing editors, getting everyone's opinions and ideas is important. Likewise, edit warring and reverting a user's edit for a prejudice reason is also bad wiki conduct. Recently, I've seen several edit wars occur, and they all could have been prevented if the two users involved had discussed the issue on a talk page, the IRC channel, or a Forum post, rather than disrespecting each other with foul comments in the edit summaries. If you really want to contribute to the uniting of our community, then you need to understand that conflicts between users should not be handled with bad language, misconduct, or disrespect; as previously stated, such actions will get you banned from the wiki.}}
