:On the other hand, the DR ending goes conspicuously out of its way to avoid gendering Player – Xehanort describes every UX character as a "boy" or "girl", but describes Player as "another one" in the group. That, plus the fact that Xehanort's caretaker's face is always concealed in their blue robes, makes me believe that Player is still meant to be treated ambiguously.
