Umm. I'm a new member. I've been reading this wiki for awhile. But, I just now got an account. I was wondering if you could make me a talkbubble thing? One using Master Xehanort? I would like the main colour to be grey, and the other colour to be red. I have no idea how things work around here at all. So, I'm sorry if my request is annoying or noobish.

ReCom images

I'd kind of prefer if the ReCom images were more high quality than they are now before we get rid of the CoM images. Is there any way to obtain better screenshots, and clean them better, and name them correctly?Glorious CHAOS! 01:11, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think we could obtain better screenshots, I've searched to no avail. ENX, however, found a person who uploaded two screenshots- one containing all the ReCoM cards for Sora, the other with all of Riku's. ENX is just cropping the images out from those screenshots and uploading them to the wiki. Cleaning them better could be possible for someone using GIMP/Photoshop, I can't help out there since I only have paint (which shouldn't be used to clean up images). Naming them correctly would be an admins job. You could either move the image title to the correct name, or delete the incorrect title and re-upload under the correct name.--Xion4 ever 01:22, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Xion4ever, could you please change the sprite of my Talkbubble to Armored Ventus and the colour to the colour of Ventus's armor and tell me how to add those Symbols that are found on Terra's Aqua's and Ventus's belt at the beggining of the text sorry for the trouble and thank you.

Look at the coding for your template.
Compare these two coding part for the |top-section=

See the differences? If you want to add an image next to what your saying you need to include [[File:Name of file here|imagesize here]] before {{{name of talkbubble here}}}

Understand? I already added the V-symbol to your ven template. If you want to change the image just change the file name and image size accordingly, or just tell me here or on the IRC. Any questions just ask!

Haha, just what I thought. Take it easy and if you have any questions concerning your talkbubble just ask me. Take some time and learn how to make your own talkbubbles (like on your sandbox or something). After you get the coding down you'll be able to make other user templates and maintain your own.

Guide #1 A guide to emotions for the normal talkbubble.
Guide #2 Another guide to emotions for the normal and advanced markup talkbubbles.

First, you need to go to your template. Edit your template page and you'll see a list of coding. About the second/third and you'll see this:

|image=IMAGENAMEHERE

To change your current image to a different one you just need to change the name. For example:

Your current image coding

|image=VenNormal.png

Example image coding (if you wanted to change to a different image

|image=Name.<png/jpg/gif here>

Or, you could tell me the image you want to switch to and I'll handle it.

Now then, compare the coding for both talkbubbles (specifically the second line [|image=]). You'll see that the first talkbubble has |image=Ansem (Talk sprite) 1 KHCOM.png while the second talkbubble has |image=XehanortTalkSpr.gif. If you want to change your current talkbubble image to something else you simply change the coding following |image= on the talkbubble you wish to edit.

Its not working because you left out the following:

Four }} at the end of the coding.

Also, why not create a Sandbox to test the talkbubble coding? User sandboxs can be used for a variety of things, but many users use them for talkbubble practice.

Because the image name is either incorrect or was deleted. Check the name of the file you want and the name of the file you put on the talkbubble coding.

Alright, a few things you should know:

First, please turn off the Rich Text Editor (RTE). The RTE is a annoying pest while editing, as it causes blank spaces and adds extra coding to an article. This means that another user must go back and fix the edit. To turn it off: Look at the top of the page here and click on More. From there select My Preferences, then select Editing. Once there uncheck the box that says Enable Rich Text Editor; be sure to save the change!

Secondly, please keep all chat not pertaining to editing the wiki or inviting users to the IRC channel here. The IRC channel is the wiki's main form of socailizing and keeps the RC (recent changes) free from User talk page clutter. Before you join the IRC channel its best to look over this; its a list of rules, channel Ops, etc.

To join the IRC channel:

Use the link I provided previously, once there type in your username in the username box. Type in #wikia-kingdomhearts as the channel, hit enter and there you go!

I'm taking a semi-break (mainly due to spring break), this is just a minor check in. So if it seems like I'm rambling/dazed, sorry. ^^;

Alright, now to answer your question. The IRC channel should be your main way of chit-chat. User talk pages should either involve questions about editing or be a request for a user to join the IRC channel. Article talk pages should involve editing matters for a specific article. Example: Asking whether or not a trivia piece belongs in a section.

In short: Anything not related to Kingdom Hearts editing or a request to the IRC channel should take place on the IRC.

If you haven't already, please review this page as it shows a list of the IRC rules, Channel Operators (Ops), Bot commands, etc.

I'll be returning to the IRC channel and actual editing either tomorrow evening (EST time) or Sunday. If you have any questions, IRC or wiki, feel free to ask! Also, if I'm not clear on my description just say so and I'll try to rephrase it better. See you later!

I couldn't get the IRC to work. Anyways, I have an idea. We could have chat pages for each user here on the wiki instead of the IRC. Something like Talk:Sora, only it would be this Chat:(username).

Have you tried any other websites offering the IRC channel? (see list at bottom of this page). Or, if you don't know how to get into the IRC channel try using this link. Once there type in your username (due to a character limit feel free to shorten yours) in the nickname box and type in #wikia-kingdomhearts in the channel box. Hit enter and there you go!

Please review the top section of this page; a few users in the past had some IRC problems, I gave some ways to "fix" the IRC towards the middle. Now, if the problem is a parent/personal issue I'm not sure what to say. The KHW IRC channel is one of the safest, PG chatrooms anywhere.

Finally, I disapprove of the whole "Chat:" idea; it defeats the purpose of the IRC channel and the rule against "keep all chit-chat excluding editing questions or invitations to the IRC on the IRC channel."

Sorry if I'm being rude, but I need some help with my userbox. I'm trying to resize this huge image so it's smaller and isn't as gaudy, but I can't resize it. Is there a way I can?

First, you type ~~~~~ after |time= so you only get the time parameter. Now about your userbox image, if the image in the userbox is already in the wiki type in [[Image name here|##px]]. You swap ## with the size you want your image. For example, if I wanted an image of Ventus to be ten px I'd type in:

[[File:Ventus KHBBS.png|10px]]

With the result being:

See? A full walkthrough of image sizes can be found here. Now, certain images cannot increase/decrease size (see the Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock userbox I made on my userpage under "Random/Custom"). To which you find a different image or just leave it alone.
