The Hades Cup in Kingdom Hearts

The Hades Cup is the fourth, final, and longest-running tournament of Olympus Coliseum in Kingdom Hearts. To unlock this tournament you must unlock the Phil Cup, Pegasus Cup, Hercules Cup and seal the Hollow Bastion keyhole. Sealing the keyhole also unlocks the optional Platinum Match against Sephiroth. Completing the Hades Cup will earn Sora the Trinity Limit, one of his most powerful abilities, and open up the Gold Match against the Ice Titan.

In this Cup, your progress is automatically stored every 10 rounds, even if you lose and are kicked out of the Coliseum. Just like the other cups, there is also an option for Sora to go through on his own, and a timed trial with a 20-minute limit. Completing the Hades Cup under each of these conditions grants Donald and Goofy's ultimate weapons, Save the Queen and Save the King.

Kingdom Hearts II

There are also two Hades Cups in Kingdom Hearts II. The first one is a small tournament that is part of the plot in the second visit to Olympus Coliseum.

Hades forces everyone to participate in the Hades Cup including the weakened Hercules. Hades stole Auron's free will in attempt to make him defeat Hercules, Sora and his gang in the cup. However, Sora releases Auron's free will and they defeat Hades together, with the help of Hercules. After finishing the storyline, there is no Hades Cup to participate in by talking to Pain and Panic.

Later on when certain requirements are met, you can talk to Hades about the Hades Paradox Cup. This is a lengthy cup tournament like the Hades Cup in Kingdom Hearts.
