I know people hate theories but I have a strong feeling I've got this right:
I removed the reference to jackals that was placed with the description of Terra's helmet. My reasoning is that the jackal reference is based on the initial Anubis reference, and to help the article appear more concise. [http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/image-files/jackal-6368blog.jpg Here]'s a link to an image of a jackal, which clearly shows no resemblance to Terra's helmet. My argument is that the appearance of Terra's helmet can be interpreted differently depending on who sees it. For example, I for one thought it looked like Batman (shown [http://accad.osu.edu/~aprice/courses/BVE/leveldesign/ply_mdl_gama_files/Figure_04_Batman.jpg here] and [http://www.digitalsomething.com/media/images/batman%20aa%20cover.jpeg here], especially the second image). But I don't want it to say "the helmet looks much like Batman's ears" either. Terra was a keyblade master with Ven and Aqua under Master Xehanort. Then for some reason Master Xehanort and his apprentice go missing and Terra, Ven and Aqua set out to find them. During their search, (or possibley after since they apparently found them as seen in the Birth By Sleep secret ending) something happens to Ven and Aqua, and Terra falls to the Darkness and takes the name of his old master, Xehanort. Then Terra/Xehanort somehow finds his way to Ansem the Wise and becomes his apprentice along with Braig, Dilan, Even, and Ienzo. Then through the events of the Ansem Reports, he banishes Ansem the Wise and takes his old master's name once again. Willingly giving up his heart to the darkness, he becomes Ansem(Xehanort's Heartless) and Xemnas(Xehanort's Nobody). The Enigmatic Soldier in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ could be many things, Xemnas in disguise, a ghost or spirit of some sort, or possibley just a sneak peek of what's to come in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. This would also explain why Xemnas calls Aqua's armor and keyblade "friend" because Terra and Aqua where friends (or at least on good terms) in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep...........So, what does everyone think?

Maybe so. I've noticed that Xemnas, who was the optional boss for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, was the main antagonist for Kingdom Hearts II. If this trend is followed by Tetsuya Nomura, then Terra, who is the optional boss for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+, could very well be the Xehanort we all come to know and love - um, hate - um, whatever. And, if this theory is followed - that each person has a heart, body and soul (when divided, would form a Heartless, Nobody and Unbirth) - then this may be the Unbirth of Terra (I'm not saying it is). Also, Xehanort had no prior memory of what he was, but it seems he appeared after a great Keyblade War ended.

On another note, the theory may not be true, on three accounts :

1. If it's in the opening, it cloud be like a practice match or something in the Land of Departure.


- Take a good look at the image of Xehanort in Ansem's Study in Radiant Garden. Yes, their hairstyles are similar, and it is rumoured that Terra's hair turns white while his eyes turn amber towards the end of Birth By Sleep, BUT... Terra has '''blue''' eyes while Xehanort has '''brown''' eyes.  
2. If it's in the ending, it could have something to do with Terra's eyes turning yellow. Maybe somehow Master Xehanort is like controlling him or something, and Aqua has to try and stop him.}}


- Also, in the previous Kingdom Hearts, when we look at the reports written by the fake Ansem, i.e. Xehanort's Heartless, he is rather inquisitive about the Keyblade, saying that it is mysterious, also quoting that some people say it is used for the restoration of the worlds ; others say it was used for destruction, and he doesn't seem to know the nature of the Keyblade. Xehanort's Heartless comes to Destiny Islands in the brown robe at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts to tap Sora's power as the wielder of the Keyblade - '''had Terra actually been Xehanort, he wouldn't have done that as he knows the power of the Keyblade, he himself is a Keyblade master.''' (Or could it all be pretence ?) And according to Ansem's Secret Reports, a Nobody would usually take on the form of the soul. If the Terra we fought in Kingdom Hearts II were an Unbirth, methinks he should look like Xemnas - but Terra looks nothing like Xemnas.
--I Agree on both parts that it could be either a sparring match while still in Land of Departure or an end of game scene but in the still Terra looks more like hes fighting to kill than for practice or fun so to me it seems more likely its towards the end when they turn from friends to enemys, assuming they do ofcourse.--[[User:Ximodnic|Ximodnic]] 18:26, December 29, 2009 (UTC)


- Terra and Ven were '''friends'''. If Terra were Xehanort and Xemnas - the same person, he'd have known the true nature of Sora and Roxas, and in both cases, wouldn't seek to eliminate him (Xehanort wanted to kill Sora to extract Kairi's heart and open the final Keyhole ; Xemnas instructed Axel to eliminate Roxas if he didn't rejoin the Organization). After all, Sora, Roxas and Ven are connected. (A possible counter-argument to this is the fact that Ven told Terra, "You're my friend, right ? Erase me." This may have led Xehanort and Xemnas to do the same to Sora and Roxas.)

Just wanted to say what I know as of yet, mainly the ending:
 
* After the KHIIFM secret move scene, Terra fights with Vanitas, but MX soon tells Vanitas to go find Ventus.
* Terra then fights with MX. Once that battle is won, Kingdom Hearts is "completed" and the door to light opens up, apparently.
* MX opens up his own Heart with his Keyblade (just like Sora did in KHI), and sends his Heart into terra, to take over his body.
* Once MX's heart is inside Terra, He is suddenly in full armor, and holding MX's keyblade. He talkes his armor off, and It now looks like Terra, but his hair is white. MX has taken over his body (he's become the Xehanort we know)
* Suddenly, the empty Armor btands up, and summons Terra's KHIIFM keyblade. The armor (the Lingering Sentiment) and "Terranort" fight.
* After beating "Terranort", the Lingering Sentiment gets down on it's knees, and goes into the pose we see him in in KHIIFM (looks like he hasn't moved an inch in 10 years...)
* Soon, Kingdom Hearts disappears, and Terranort does too (we can guess that Terranort ends up in Radiant Garden, where Ansem finds him... suffering from amnesia, and takes him under his wing.
* After Kingdom Hearts has disappeared, the Lingering Sentiment (as said before) is perfectly still in the same spot until everything fades to black. Then we hear Terra's voice saying "Aqua... Ventus..." and then something in Japanese which i didn't understand...
* The end for Terra!

You know what. After finding this out.......Birth by Sleep...is Mega Man Zero 3 D: Terra's voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu, who also voices Zero. Xehanort's voiced by Chikao Atsuko, who voices Weil. Xehanort/Weil steals the bodies of Zero/Terra for their own evil ends. Both Terra and Zero go to sleep after defeating Xehanort and Weil, never again to be disturbed for decade(s). *Why doesn't Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas wield a Keyblade? We know that the Keyblade is neutral in alignment as both light and dark users can wield one. We also know now that the Xehanort we know and Master Xehanort are one in the same.
 
*What of Terra's body after the creation of Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas? Will it really come back despite that Terra has become the Lingering Sentiment?

It is my theory that when MX took over Terra's body, Terra's soul and perhaps his Heart too, were "moved" into his armor. Then Xehanort was Terra's body+MX's soul and Heart, which explains the behavior of Xemnas and "Ansem", as they are the Body and Heart.
 
I wonder why Terra's remains (the Lingering Sentiment) couldn't go anywhere... Why was it stationary in the Keyblade Graveyard?
 
And I wonder how Aqua's armor (with her spirit in it) ended up in the Chamber of Repose... I dunno for sure, but I've heard that Her story ends with her heading out to look for her missing friend; Terra.

The thing is after "Terranort" is born terra's remains become the lingering sentiment and knock xehanort out.so yeah head injurys. also in gameplay terms one of terra's mode changes "Dark Impulse" should probably be added to the article at some point.

{{Ataradesu|text= I just want you guys to know that Master Xehanort's plan failed. He took over Terra's body for a while only. LS is not Terra, it's the good within him. What's left in Terra's body is Terra's darkside, Eraqus (for some reason...) and MX. When MX is in control, he has yellow eyes. However, when he's found by Ansem, he still has yellow eyes and says he's called Xehanort. But in the secret ending, we do see Evil Terra and MX talking in, we guess, "their" body (since the light around them indicates they have no physical shape, the same that was around MX when he got rid of his heart and disappeared) and what's following is pretty interesting. Braig goes to talk to Xehanort, calling him ironicly "Master", and then stops, and stares at his eyes, which are brown, not yellow, and Braig then says "Impossible... Terra ?!" , since Braig was smiling when he heard Terranort said he was Xehanort, and that he's surprised to see Terra after that, we can assume MX didn't control long. It's more like Terra's darkness with MX Eraqus and Terra's heart in the body. Oh gosh Nomura, let's not even talk about Vanitas >_>.}}
 
With braig's scene it seemed less like an indication that master vacated the premises and more like an uncertainty about who was in charge.

I'd have to put another vote in for "uncertainty" on Braig's part. Also, who's to say that Lingering Sentiment was motionless for 10 years? Admittedly, I've forgotten a good deal about the hidden battle, but since you access it through the Hall of the Cornerstone, isn't it possible that Sora's battle with Lingering Sentiment takes place in the past, the same way it's possible to enter Timeless River through the Hall?
 
Also, what's this I keep hearing now and again about Aqua's armor in the Chamber of Repose having her soul in it? I recall Xigbar saying he'd heard another voice in the Chamber on occasions, but for all we know Xemnas might've had a split personality and would argue with his theoretical Terra half. Do we ever actually hear the armor speak?

Well, also in another video but the same event taking place it shows a flashback between Eraqus and MX. They are talking and then MX attacks Eraqus with balls of darkness. == My theory on Terra/Xehahort ==
 
I believe that Master Xehahort has combined himself with Terra, creating Xehahort. Terra's heart went into the Lingering Sentiment causing Xehahort to strive for a heart based on Terra's needs but Xehahort would also have wanted power because of MX's wants.
 
After Xehanort split into Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas, Xehanort's Heartless reflected MX's plans to control everything using darkness and went after Riku because he took memories from Terra and knew that Riku had darkness inside of him. Xemnas reflected both Terra and MX with his need for a heart and lust for power.
 
When Xehahort's Heartless and Xemnas were destroyed, Master Xehahort was finally gone, leaving Terra alone. As for the figure in the secret ending of BBS that spoke to Aqua, I believe that was what was left of Terra, regretting the pain he caused Sora.

Just to let you know, from the recent Trailers fans has begun speculating the voice actors and they think Terra's VA is Christian Bale. they even made parrodies of Terra-Batman on Youtube [[User:17master|17master]] 14:52, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

I understand the secret endings aren't exactly "legit," but they are still character appearances, and why characters such as Roxas should be listed as appearing in ''Kingdom Hearts'' and its Final Mix, as well as Marluxia and "Ansem" appearing in ''Kingdom Hearts II'''s opening. I'm not particularly on any side in this situation, but this could become very confusing or even troublesome in the future. :The story sections are not meant to catologue simple appearances or mentions. They are supposed to be the direct history of that character. They should only be broken up by game as a frame of reference. That's why the contents of Mickey's flashback with Xehanort should be mentioned in the pre-KH, not the KHII.
:The secret videos, though, are uncanon, and are not fully compatible with the events of the series. As such, it could be mentioned in the trivia or a possible "Other appearances" that a character appeared in a secret video, but it should not be in the story section. Since it's an "other appearance", akin to appearing in the cards or maybe some commercial, it should not be represented in the game template, which are also a sort of "history of the series" thing. In short, if a character's story section does mention a secret video, remove it.

Think of it this way. The LS is what was still left of Terra after being possessed by MX, it's a result of his will to protect his friends and the emotions that go with that thus being his Sentiments. People theorize that since MX will return it will be as new Xehanort thus bringing back Terra's body and soul. All that's left is his heart and that is what's left to find.
 
In other terms When Xehanort became a heartless and a nobody, one of the hearts become Ansem SoD and the body and soul became Xemnas. Looking at Ansem SoD's appearance it's clear that he was made by MX's heart, so what was left was Terra's Heart where could that have gone. or I mention the fact that ASoD went after Riku, a move which seemed to take influence from Terra, if Terra's heart was within the heartless than it can be assumed that it slipped into riku which would explain why riku could summon an additional keyblade for Kairi to use in Kingdom Hearts II. Also remember that Terra had light in his heart, if he was part of Ansem SoD then his darkness would have been purged with MX's influence leaving only the light.
 
Heart possession is something different from taking in one heart for protection or healing, the heart possessing the other over shadows the other, thus the possessed heart is still there just beneath the other one. This is what happened to both Terra and Riku giving them a further connection thus the later theory is more probable I hope this helped.

So it is probably in Riku(notice the similar fighting stance between him in KH2 and Terra) or it was purged with the rest of Ansem SoD but the chances of that seem slim as Terra's heart was never truly darkness and the kingdom hearts encoder explosion wiped the darkness from Riku's heart so the first theory is more probably. but then again for all we know it could have been sent into the lingering sentiment, it is far too early to even speculate where his heart is without any further evidence but at least someone is thinking about enough to put it up here so bravo to you for being the first to not mention terra as a whole for your question. and I will get back to you once 3D comes out. Actually, think of it this way:
Master Xehanort's heart is housed within Terra's, which is what created Xehanort (the Apprentice) in the first place. Now, at the end of Blank Points in Re:Coded, Yen Sid said that Master Xehanort would very soon return. If his heart is returning to his original body, that means Terra's heart will do the same.
(Also, on another note: Eraqus' heart is also within Terra's. If Xehanort is returning, Eraqus is returning as well. But of course, I can only speculate on these issues. 3D as well as 3 should confirm my own suspicions.) --Jacobmirror 16:55, February 3, 2011 (UTC)

We know that Xehanort does not have Aqua or Riku, per AFP and 3D. It has to be either Terra or Ventus, and Xehanort is already known to have captured Terra. In that cutscene it's shown that dark hands caught Aqua and Ven, but we [https://youtu.be/_M4ECOytCn8?t=3m21s don't see any Darkside in that shadow] and the hands, more precisely the fingers, don't look like those of the [[:File:Darkside_KH.png|Darkside]], as the latter's fingers edges are spiky and the hands look thorny, but in this cutscene they don't look like any of that. <br>
But I think they could be Terra-Xehanort's Guardian's disguised in that shadow catching them, as we've seen Terra-Xehanort summoning a Guardian during his battle with Aqua, and we've seen another catching the protagonists (Ansem's catching Riku and Mickey in KH3D), this proves in fact the hands that caught Aqua and Ven are at least not a Darkside's but more like Xehanort's Guardian's. {{User:Braviaggron/Sig}} 14:33, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
