: It seems like the identity of the figure at 0:30 has been a point of disagreement for some time (see {{h|Riku or Roxas}}). In the context of only "[deep dive]", I'm inclined to agree with you: the figure who emerges from the rocks is clearly different from the figure at the skyscraper who would later become Roxas. However, I think the later games want us to believe that it was actually Roxas, what with showing him teleport in from the rock in the KHII opening, so even though the FMV didn't plan on them being the same character, it was later decided that both would be Roxas.
