The point is that the order goes Terra --> Ventus --> Aqua. The three are known to be a close trio of apprentices, and would likely fight for one another. My guess is that Terra has, for unknown purposes, stolen Ventus's heart. Aqua would then battle Terra to try and get Ventus's heart back. I highly doubt this is the Master Qualification Exam; the arena is very dark and mysterious, and the Japanese translation of their conversation would makes the battle completely irrelevent to the Master Qualification Exam. | |||
