:EDIT: A thought: why don't we use the wikia-wiki for offsite hosting? Didn't Kryten demonstrate a way to host and resize other wiki images? This way, we won't have to reupload everything. BRILLIANT IDEA. Although it might be a little immoral, we could do something similar. We can't let this die out--it's becoming a problem in auditing. For example, while I was auditing images, I had to leave a ton of images unchecked because we hadn't decided on this. While there is certainly more effort required in resizing the images off-wiki, there is also the risk of exceeding Photobucket's bandwidth limit. We could try Lego/Kryten's idea of using the KHWikia URL's, though if they ever change their image names, we have to as well. Additionally, we could make this simple as say that if a user wants to use a userbox, it's their own responsibility to fix the image until we complete the syncing. | |||
