This might be a better time to work on it, since it's closer to the American release. I've seen various logos running around...maybe someone wants to set up a sub-page with a poll and we can start from there?

I don't want to hurt feelings here, but I really don't think that any of the current logos that have been posted here are good enough to be the official site logo. Out of all of our affiliates, do we not have anyone to make a good quality logo for us? Who made the logo for the FF wiki? Perhaps I'll just have to ask around more.

I think that we should have a poll, like BebopKate suggested! does anyone else want that?
I also think that we should just have a logo that's "simple and clean" :P like the french Wiki logo for example: clicky me!
I recolored that logo red, and then I made another one with some shadow. here they are: (I don't have them a part of my talkbubble so the difference/shadow can be seen!)

Above is a screenshot of the wiki with a Roxas logo applied, that I think looks really great just like that. However, regardless of how good it might look, I suppose "Kingdom Hearts Wiki" must be written on it, so I plan to get "Kingdom Hearts" written across the top where his hair is using the font from the official Kingdom Hearts logo, faded in red to match the theme, and then just write wiki under that. I just need my friend to come online to finish the job, my internet crashed last night before I could get him to do it.
Let me know what you think.
(I'd also like to know if writing the name of the wiki is absolutely necessary for the logo, since it does say the name of our wiki in the option list below anyhow. If we can do without the text, I think it would look fine with just Roxas's face.)

I think that adding "Kingdom Hearts Wiki" is absolutely necessary, and it will probably make it less "plain"...
I personally think that having a logo similar to the french KH Wiki is OK, and like Azul said, it'll only be for a month... and it's not like they'll "sue" us or something :P

Simple is good, and like I said, I was planning on getting the text done from the beginning.
I personally don't care for the logo that the french wiki is using, and I also have to point out that the edges of the logo are sort of bad quality. Perhaps I'm just being picky, but either way, take into consideration that this is a Days theme, Roxas is more fitting.

For "Wiki", use an upside-down m, and the i and k from the kingdom hearts logo. It'll look more continuous that way.

This is a Days theme though so I think it would make more sense to at least have Roxas in there. I'll have the other choices posted soon, but there really isn't any rush. I think someone should be looking into how we can get that countdown timer up right now.

Also, how long should we keep this theme going? I don't think that we should just revert back as soon as October comes, as people will be coming here for Days information for at least several weeks after the NA release of Days.

Also, Birth by Sleep had an expected release date of December 31st. However, Nomura said that the game would miss its holiday time frame. Perhaps we could start a Christmas theme at the beginning of December, then fire up one for Birth by Sleep soon after Christmas. Also, thanks for the logo. It'll be good to have a countdown and theme going on for a good month.

Two problems with it. One, I can't get wiki written on it without it looking bad, and two, it looks too pink and not red enough for the layout. I was thinking that maybe we could just use the red version of our current logo for now, but I don't know.

I'm beginning to think the word wiki is just not meant to be in a KH logo xD! I like the font in the first logo but somehow I like the second's logo font color better, yes I r ebil. But DTN is right, we should add this ASAP, including that countdown. I'm thinking that's admin job though, as if someone else tried (*cough*me*cough) might end up rooning the coding D8 (that, and I think it's protected? idk)

I was going to use it, but everything just looks too red. The image is better in color.
I think it looks good like this. If you think we should add the title, then I guess we should, but it isn't like we're going to be using that image forever, and you'd have to be a moron to not know that you're on the KH wiki.

I did make some changes. I don't think we should use the card-categories, as the cards showed up in bad quality, and some of them were edited images.
Maybe you can be creative and think of a way to sort things using a Days inspired theme.

Hate to put it this way but the card thing was something the community decided, you can't just change it without asking people's consent. Besides that, II think the red used is a bit bright but it's ok. The image as a log looks pretty and yes, someone would have to be pretty dumb to not notice they're in the KH wiki but the point of having a logo was to identify the wiki in other sites and maybe use it as our affiliates button no?

Sorry, I was away when the card-category thing was decided, so I didn't know it was a community decision. It can easily be fixed.
Going on to the logo not having a title, like I already said, this is a temporary logo, not our official site logo. By the time we get a good logo with the writing on it, it'll be time to remove the layout. I'm sorry if this isn't what you expected, but everyone wants this done, and I'm trying my best with the time I have.

ANYWAYZ... if you put it that way I guess it's fine, I just don't like to see the work you put in creating the logo go unnoticed and just use a days artwork image. About the gears thing well the sprites are so tiny that I don't know if they could be used for icons without them going all pixel-ified, but if Xiggie can make it work then I'd like to see it ^^

Eh, I'm not too sure about a Quote of the Week. Why not go with Xiggie's idea, and have Random Quote of the moment? I think that having the same one each week will get tiresome. Plus, that doesn't allow for people to see some of the more diverse quotes, which is done on the FFWiki.
