I believe that's the only in-game name we have for the guardian (other than "guardian"), and also the only English localisation. By removing "Balloon" from the localised name, we get "Monster". With what we have in the Ultimania now, it aligns with the name "背後の怪物" which translates to "The Monster Behind" (same as the Japanese name). Though for some reason in the localisation of KHUX, the term "behind" is removed to just "Monster Balloon" instead of "Monster Balloon Behind".
