Frost materials are represented by aqua blue jewels with what seem to be small, white, ice crystals covering them. They have an [[List of Synthesis Materials|Elemental material]] structure. In ''Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days'', they are purple.
Frost materials are colored aqua, purple in ''[[Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days]]'', and are covered with small icicles. A Frost Shard is a blocky, crescent-shaped jewel. A Frost Stone consists of three jewels, one shaped like an uneven cube and two with an oblong, pointy shape. A Frost Gem consists of four jewels, a large facet cut jewel, with two smaller facet cut jewels at the sides, and a small, diamond-shaped jewel at the bottom. A Frost Crystal consists of a large star-shaped jewel, with a smaller facet cut jewel at the bottom, and a diamond-shaped jewel on either side.


A "frost" is a cover of minute ice crystals on an object, reflecting the apparent frost covering the material, as well as the "essence of ice" the material contains.
The material's name refers to the essence of ice it contains, as well as the icicles covering it.
