Abu: Difference between revisions

Abu is a small monkey with orange-brown fur and pale skin. His body structure is typical of most monkeys, including his thumbs and prehensile tail, though he only has four fingers and toes on each limb, like other Agrabah characters. He has large, black eyes and wears a fez that is violet on the bottom and red-violet on the top. The two sections are separated by a yellow pattern. He wears a thin vest not unlike Aladdin's, albeit Abu's is red-violet.

In the original film, Abu is Aladdin's pet monkey and sidekick friend who helps his master steal goods from the market as they are "street-rats" living in the slums of Agrabah. When Aladdin and Abu meet the Blue [[Genie]] of the Lamp, Aladdin expresses his first wish to become a prince. The Genie, in a bid to make Aladdin's first wish come true, changes Aladdin into a prince and Abu into several other "vehicles" (a camel, a horse and a car, among others) before finally transforming the monkey into a royal elephant.
