Information Crisis!

Coded is out in Japan right? Then why there is so little information about it?!!! There's a trailer and 2 gameplays on youtube, but besides that nothing! I wish I could see the cutscenes about the truth Mickey talked about, but how if there is no information anywhere!

Maybe he's a memory made by Namine that she accidently put in when she was restoring Sora's memories. Like a interperitation of an Organization member, possibly Marluxia. He wants to get out of the journal, so he makes a note that Jiminy will have to notice. Mickey digitalized the journal, and makes a digital Sora. Digital Marluxia then tries to enter the real world through he system Mickey is using, thus "freeing him from his torment". This is just a theory. Now that I think about it, we should make an article on Digital Sora. On second thought, I think we should wait for more info before making an article for Coded

That probably was Xehanort's Heartless. I think the journal has managed to pick up on more than just Sora's experiences. This could be due to Naminé's meddling, due to Riku being in Castle Oblivion at the time the Journal was wiped, maybe some of his experiences were picked up by the journal as well. Theory on Birth by Sleep and Coded

This is pure speculation, but considering that Nomura said that birth by sleep is linked deeply to coded, maybe the titular "them" that is refered to in the journal are Terra, Ven, Aqua. Its slightly possible, considering Terra may reprizent darkness, Ven is similar to Sora and Roxas so he is light, and Aqua was seen in The World That Never Was which is twilight/Nothingness. Maybe this has some clues in it for the origin of the keyblades of Dark and Light, and Twilight path that DiZ questioned Riku about. 67.142.161.32 13:53, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

Just as a side note to this conversation, Aqua WAS on the Dark Beach place (not sure of its technical name, I've never actually played a game that featured it) at the end of Birth by Sleep. She fell into the Dark Realm and sacrificed her armor and Keyblade to save Terra, and that's why Xemnas has them in his possession to start with. MY theory is that, seeing as all three of them were separately being kept prisoners (Aqua in the Realm of Darkness, Terra as Xehanort/Xemnas, and Ventus in Castle Oblivion), it's referencing them and how Sora needs to save them. Well, let me explain something to you guys. Firts, Ventus is wind, not Light. Second, Aqua is in the Dark Meridian, a place in the Realm of Darkness (Like said above). Since both his Heartless and Nobody have been destroyed Xehanort will return to life. Terra can't be dead, because of something so trivial as his body death, since he is using his armor as a body (Lingering Sentiment). Also, not only Terra, Aqua and Ventus are the "Then" but also Roxas, Axel, Xion, etc. I know this because they said Sora's name in the Reconect.Kingdom Hearts, and are "those who are conected to Sora", the theme of the next Kingdom Hearts Game. I just want to say that Episode 7 of Kingdom Hearts coded makes no sense at all. I read over it a few times, in utter confusion each time. The summary KHInsider provides is extremely vague and goes into little detail or explanation about the most important events. Connection to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep?

Ah, the famous line "We must return to free them from their torment"...And then Kairi says in BbS's secret ending, "There are still sad people."...Doesn't it makes sense that because Sora has to "reconnect", that the letter Sora recieved had information about this mission and was sent at the end of Coded's story line? The two quotes practically mean the same thing. Doesn't it make sense that at the end of Coded when King Mickey figures out the meaning of "We must return to free them from their torment" that it means Sora has to fix the connections to him and thus he sends Sora the letter? - User:One-Winged Angel 16:34 January 11, 2010

I couldn't really figure out how AtW added some of his data into Sora and the video doesn't get specific, but I think now that "DiZ" had Naminé input his data into Sora's heart making him, I guess, an "accidental apprentice". Putting it that way, it could be thought that AtW figured that things wouldn't end with the downfall of O13, and that his part in the endeavor would end in death so he passed the necessary knowledge to Sora through his memories. However the information didn't surface until Jimney's journal was analyzed. Mickey found that AtW passed on certain data to Sora that the latter never found out so Mickey sent the data/info in the letter at the end of KHII/KHbbS.

Falcon, Roxas is Sora's nobody, but because Sora and Ventus have their hearts connected, Roxas gained Ventus heart, thus making him the only nobody to actually have a heart (Ventus Heart+Sora's Body+Sora's Soul=Roxas, so you could say that roxas is a Mix between Ven and Sora). Their hearts being connected is also the reason for Vanitas looks like Sora, and not Ven itself. Also, it's obvious that everyone that said Sora's name in the secret ending of KHBBS gonna make part in the next KH game, as they are the ones connected to Sora (The next game have this theme: the ones connected to Sora. This is the reason for the secret ending being named "Reconnect.Kingdom Hearts"). Since Roxas can separate from Sora any time he wants, he will appear, and thus Xion can also appear. Axel have been destroyed for good, but in the next game or Lea will appear, or Sora visits the world of death. Aqua is still alive in the realm of darkness with Ansem the Wise; Ventus is asleeping inside castle oblivion; since both his heartless and nobody have been destroyed for good, Xehanort will appear, and them Sora may find a way to separate Terra from Master Xehanort.User:Snetonobre

With the BBS VA's, we have no official word matching the actors to the roles, and people still disagree on some of them (like Mark Hamill). With Recoded, we have a reliable source explicitly saying that it's being dubbed (meaning that the Japanese game has been released), and that the voice is Jiminy. The title is different by two letters, and we've received previous confirmation that coded was going to be ported to America. This isn't speculation at all - as I said before, there is literally only one game this could be, and the title's are virtually the same, so there is no danger in putting it on the page as "It's being brought to America as "Recoded". Caused a sense of insecurity among the fanbase - people were hellbent on them being real were...vocal, to say the least. Then they were revealed to be fake. Then comes our favorite leaked GS trailer. Thanks to the trolls' stunts, paranoia insued - they were now hell-bent on the trailer being fake. Being proven dead wrong once again, it then became a heaven for trolls to mess with people. Continues to this day. Which only further amazes me...don't people ever do their homework? Sourcing? Of course. The Phil Snyder was very much a legit source...but people didn't buy it cause of the troll paranoia. All I'm saying is...let's think for ourselves.

And speaking of which, as Re:coded (which is how it is spelled on the revealed oficial logo) is going to be released for the DS, there are going to be many questions as to how they will make the transfer from one screen to two. Thanks to coded's images, we know how the top screeen will likely work, but the question is what will they put on the bottom screen? A map like 358/2 Days? The Debug sequences? Will they move the little dialogue bubbles to the bottom screen? Or will it be something else? I agree that we should beware of the attention seekers, but I'm sure we can open ourselves to some speculation (after all, we nailed the bit of Terra being the future Xehanort in BBS).

As we get more information, we can put it into a seperate section. However, if the game has additional content not found in Kingdom Hearts coded, then I would suggest that we create a seperate article. By "additional content", I don't mean a different main menu or button configuration. A significant amount of new gameplay elements, characters, enemies, and content that similarly makes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix different from Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix different from Kingdom Hearts II would be enough to fill an article for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.

I see plenty of harm: (1) If the game's are virtually identical, then it is more difficult to cover the differences, since you can't directly compare the info. (2) Same reason we don't have pages for the English and Japanese version of KH1 or Days, despite small differences: gigantic redundancy. It's times like this I wish coded was released in the US to further the original game rather then a RE: game. Yes, because, as Kryten has said above, it explains a key plot point that has been the subject of debate for almost four years after the point was introduced. Also, it is not a remake like Re:coded or Re: Chain of Memories, and it is not a non-canon micro-adventure like KH-VC.

You see, even though the numbered games are really the main games of the series, the games like BbS, CoM, 358/2 Days, coded, and even the upcoming KH3D, are still a part of the canon and, more often then not, explain plot points that are essential to understanding the numbered games. The remakes and Final Mixes are just what they are; remade versions of the game that, while adding new battles, cutscenes and mysteries, generally display the same information. Because of that, coded is a part of the main series.

(Also, just because it's released on cell phones doesn't mean it shouldn't be a part of the main series. Sure, KH-VC was made for cell phones, but it's not considered a main game because it is truly inconsequential to the main plot.) Tamroc7 03:27, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
