Book of Prophecies

The Book of Prophecies.

The Book of Prophecies (予知書, Yochi sho) is a book that appears in Kingdom Hearts χ and Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. It is the source of cards and medals, which allow the Player to harness powers from the future.

Story

Kingdom Hearts χ

According to the Player's Chirithy, his creator, the "Master of Masters," gifted five of his six apprentices with a tome from the Book of Prophecies before disappearing. These five disciples, who would become the Foretellers, discovered a shocking passage on the tome's last page:

"The fated land will be the battleground for a great war. Light will see defeat and expire, while darkness prevails evermore."

To avert this crisis, the Foretellers established Unions to battle the darkness and used the Book of Prophecies to draw power from the future. Mission 114

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

Following their defeat in the Datascape, Maleficent and Pete discuss the ancient Book of Prophecies. According to legend, it is capable of transcribing and conjuring future events, and can even create entire worlds filled with beings and powers that have yet to exist. Maleficent decides to search for a connection between the Book of Prophecies and the Datascape, and wonders if that implies a connection to Jiminy's Journal.
