-Upon his creation, Experiment 626's only purpose was to destroy everything in his path. He would laugh at the chaos he caused, taking pleasure from harming others. However, upon crossing paths with Terra, 626 learned of the existence of "Friends," a term unknown to him, as Dr. Jumba had created him for the sole purpose of destruction. Seeing Terra's reaction to his stealing the Wayfinder, made by one of Terra's best friends (Aqua), 626's behavior gradually begins to change.

Deeply curious as to how the Experiment would know the shape, or Terra's name which he uttered, Aqua sets off looking for him. After being enlisted by the Grand Council Woman to take the lead in capturing Dr. Jumba and 626, Aqua saves 626 from both the Unversed, as well as an angry Captain Gantu. She in turn, manages to win the Experiment's trust, and asks him to adopt her circle of friends, introducing herself to him, as well as Terra and Ventus.

He is very loyal to those he cares for, regardless of his past. While unknown what sparked this change in behavior in terms of the Kingdom Hearts storyline, it is likely that Stitch reformed some time between ''Birth by Sleep'' and ''Kingdom Hearts II''.
-When Ven finally makes his way on-board, following after a large space-surfing Unversed, he comes across Experiment 626, who has once again escaped capture, and who now is looking to help Ventus (as per Aqua's previous request to adopt her friends as his own) to stop the Unversed.
