Oogie Boogie originates from Tim Burton's 1993 stop motion Disney film, ''The Nightmare Before Christmas''. When Lock, Shock, and Barrel bring Santa Claus to Halloween Town as per Jack's order, the trio betray him and bring him to Oogie, who chains him up for torture and plans to kill him. Sally discovers this and tries to rescue Santa, but is caught by Oogie.
