:There hasn't been a particular ignition trigger, however with more staff leaving/becoming inactive, an extra helping hand would be useful to slightly relieve the workload of the current staff. {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 20:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Imo, any respected and well known community member should be able to apply for a staff position at any time (with an obvious limit to how often you can apply), it's then up to the community to decide to be for it or against it.
