In Disney's 1997 animated movie ''Hercules'', Cerberus still guards the entrance to the Underworld. He first appears when Hades is seen riding down the River Styx and feeds Cerberus a massive piece of meat, although the three heads fight over it. Later, Hercules briefly tames him and uses Cerberus to infiltrate Hades' inner sanctum when he travels to the Underworld to confront him.
