ThisEdit

This really shouldn't go on articles. It should be a parent category for sub-categories. -Azul81677 22:48, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Agreed, should we go ahead and remove it from all pages? Ultima The High Seraph 17:48, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Neumannz, can you run AWB to remove "Characters" from individual character pages? It may be encoded within the Enemy infobox, also."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:20, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
It was in the Party navbox, actually. They're all gone except for that one @$$hole's user- and talkpages. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:05, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
They haven't actually been taken out of the list, at least on my end. If you see the same thing, could you run AWB just to give them a refresh?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:00, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

I already did. Try clearing your cache. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:53, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

SubcategoriesEdit

We have a mass of subcategories that aren't complementary here, so I propose we split them up into a tree:

  • Characters
    • Characters by type
      • Heartless
      • Nobodies (poss. obsolete Replica)
      • Unversed
      • Dream Eaters
      • Data (possibly Simulations or Constructs, to include Lingering Will and The Experiment?)
      • Others (obsolete out "Somebodies")
    • Characters by game
      • self-evident
    • Characters by company
      • Disney characters
      • Square Enix characters
    • Groups
      • Organization XIII
      • Princesses of Heart
      • Keyblade Masters
      • Keyblade wielders
      • Summons
      • D-Links
      • All current pages within Groups
    • Characters by role
      • Allies
      • Enemies
      • Villains
      • Neutral characters
      • Summons
      • D-Links

Thoughts?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:20, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Agree. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 20:57, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
In regards to obsoleting out "Somebody" for "Other" (and somebodies for others)...are we, at long last, all agreed on this? Or does that bit need to wait?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:04, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Also, I moved Summons and D-Links to role, as they have a specific gameplay role. I did not move Keyblade wielders and masters, because the franchise clearly portrays that as a group, even if it is defined by in-fighting. It could perhaps be moved to type, though I doubt it."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:09, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

"Somebodies" should NOT be replaced with "others", just with "other". (And yes, there is a difference.) --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 21:21, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

You'll have to enlighten me, then.
Also, I made a tactical error with "Characters of unknown worlds", and it currently includes a lot of non-characters. It looks like it is slowly draining out, but if somebody wanted to run AWB with "change File: to File:" and save despite there being no changes on the pages in the category..."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:06, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

I won't be able to run AWB for a while, but I'll get to it when I get to it.

"Others" implies that "other" is a type in and of itself, as opposed to being the non-type, so to speak. Technically people could still make that mistake anyway, but then it's their own damn fault. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:20, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Ooooh! No, I mean the category "Somebodies" should have all members moved over to "Others". If someone interprets the category to mean that "Others" is a type...well, that's pretty weak of them. The enemy infobox can be fixed for it in a jeff, as soon as you are ready to run AWB and if we are all agreed."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:32, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
