Dark Spiral (ダークスパイラル Dāku Supairaru) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It allows the user to drill into their target shrouded by a corona of light.
Mechanics
Dark Spiral is a Friendship command. If an enemy is hit, up to two more charges can be added to the technique by correctly pressing the prompt buttons. On the occasion that Vanitas uses Dark Spiral himself, countering with the same command will initiate a clash between Vanitas and the user, which is won by quickly rotating the analogue stick counterclockwise.
