Bladecharge (ブレードチャージ Burēdochāji ) is a style and technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to extend their Keyblade with an aura in order to extend the range of their attacks.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Bladecharge is a Level 2 Command Style exclusive to Terra and Aqua that can be activated by using fire-, blizzard-, or Strike-related commands while in a Level 1 Command Style. The standard combo consists of three wide-sweeping slashes which deal 150% damage, followed by indefinite additional slashes which each deal 300% damage. The "Bladecharge" finish command consists of the user swinging their Keyblade above their head five times, then performing two jumping slashes; each hit deals 300% damage.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Bladecharge is a Dual Style that allows Riku to wield a giant Keyblade of light and strike down many enemies at once. The standard combo has him mainly spinning his Keyblade hitting enemies in a wide range. The Finisher has him holding the Keyblade over his head, the Keyblade sparkles with energy and smashes it down with tremendous force.
