'''Energy''' is a type of material that appears in ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'' and is used in [[Item Synthesis]].  Only obtained through drops, energy materials are one of the "modifier" materials that are not required to make items, but offer benefits when added in. They are used to cut the number of materials required in a [[Recipe|recipe]] in half, rounded up.  For example, if a recipe requires four [[Dense|Dense Shards]], using an Energy material will only use two.  If it requires three, it cannot split the third shard in half and therefore rounds it to two whole shards.

Wellspring materials are colored purple, and contain cyan lightningbolt patterns. A Wellspring Shard is a smooth, vaguely triangular jewel with two large prongs on its top and two small, slightly curved spikes on its sides. A Wellspring Stone consists of a smooth, vaguely triangular jewel with three spikes on its top, with a large crescent-shaped attachment on the left, and a smaller crescent-shaped jewel on the right. A Wellspring Gem consists of a smooth, vaguely triangular jewel with a short spike on its top, with two intersecting crescent-shaped attachments at the bottom. A Wellspring Crystal consists of a center that is composed of three oval shapes fused together, with a large curving spike and smaller crescent-shaped attachment on three sides.
The material's name refers to the essence of energy it contains.
