*Unlike many of the other fighting stances in the Kingdom Hearts world, Valor form's stance seems to be based off of a real world martial art: Phillipino Kali. The way he holds his left sword under the right arm, which is rested on the right shoulder is exactly the same as the dual sword stance in Kali. Also the square attack that causes Sora to leap forward is the first three strikes of a Kali pattern called "The Weave".
