After the events that occur in The Land of the Musketeers (which can be seen and played in Dream Drop Distance) Mickey and Minnie were married with Mickey becoming a Prince (as Minnie is a Princess) on marriage; sometime after this, either one or both<ref>It is not known which one of Minnie's parents ruled and which one was the consort, so only one of them may have died leaving either a King Consort or Queen Consort behind as a widow.</ref> of Minnie's parents died and Minnie became Queen; on her accession Mickey became King and she became rules<ref>She rules in Mickey's absence but judging by Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, she is actually the ruler and Mickey is her consort</ref>, while Mickey became her Consort.
