He himself looks like Roxas obviously meaning he also looks like Ventus. That means that he's been influenced by Ventus in a number of ways including his looks and his attitude. It's speculation but it's speculation with solid proof behind it. Nomura made a mistake to say that the looks of Vanitas were influenced by Sora because in Kingdom Hearts 2 i think it was one of the Organization, i forget who, comments on Sora's resemblance to Roxas. Since Roxas has identical looks to Ventus it means that Ven has in fact influenced the looks of Sora. If their hearts met when Sora was a newborn that means that his looks were immediately influenced by Ven's resulting in Vanitas having looks similar to his original vessel. So its a double relationship. Unless of course Sora is somehow related to Ven. . . | |||

I'm pretty sure they used to same facial features for both and if not paying attention one could mistake Sora for Roxas or vice versa. This can also be proven in the ending movie of KH 2 when Sora and Kiari are reunited on Destiny Island and it flashes to a scene of Roxas and Namine)}} | |||
