The Portals of Darkness are locations from Kingdom Hearts.
Appearing during the final battle with the World of Chaos, the Portals of Darkness are prisons consumed in darkness. At the beginning of the battle, Donald Duck and Goofy were imprisoned in separate ones. Sora was at one point imprisoned in one, but escaped.
Within each of the three Portals of Darkness are huge clusters of Heartless. The portals are almost completely pitch-black, with the exception of a blue glowing Heartless symbol on the floor, making the Heartless almost completely invisible. Sora's prison is full of Shadows, Donald's is full of Darkballs, and Goofy's is full of Invisibles. To escape a Portal of Darkness, Sora has to destroy the orb that appears after voiding the room of Heartless.
