Nobody.pngEternal Nothingness XIIINobody.png So...it seems your hearts have led you to obliteration. Perhaps it doesn't pay to be too loyal to one's heart. I will have to be sure and remember that. — 20:09, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Interdiction KHD.png Even though Wayfinder functions like what would eventually become a Team Attack in KHIII, it is considered a Style Change in the game in which it appears. We must treat it as such, for accuracy's sake.
    • Wayfinder is never specified to be a Style Change, though. Only Spell Weaver. Situation Commands are also all color coded - green is for Team Attacks. Ergo, Wayfinder is a Team Attack. --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:13, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
      • Unless the game calls it a Team Attack, which it does not, we have to operate within the confines of a specific title. In this case, KH0.2. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 20:24, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
        • I'm not trying to be argumentative....but the game doesn't call it a Style Change either. 0.2 is based on the same system KH3 is, so you have no choice but to carry over certain specificity over to the other if it lacks it. Look at Reaction Commands as an example. We have an entry for BBS...and yet, not once are they ever referred to as Reaction Commands in-game, or in any official materials. --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:26, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
          • I, also, am not trying to argue. The point I am trying to make, however, is KH0.2 does not call Wayfinder a Team Attack. The term did not exist yet. While functions are exactly the same (command color, execution method, etc.), we cannot use KHIII terminology to discuss KH0.2. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 20:30, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
            • So why do we apply KH2 terminology to BBS? --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:32, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
              • We apply KHII terminology to KHBBS because KHBBS was released after KHII, thus the terminology already existed and could be used within the game. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 20:35, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
                • If that's the case, then the only reasonable thing you can call Wayfinder is merely a Situation Command and nothing else. It's the only middle ground. --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:38, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
                  • I agree. I mean you no disrespect, and I apologize if it came across that way. Hopefully, with a bit of input from others, we can resolve this issue and figure out what to call this darn command :P - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 02:46, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
                    • Lol, so say we all! --Samoa Joe (talk) 03:16, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
KH 0.2 was specifically stated by Nomura to be the opening for KH3. Barring any official statements otherwise, I think it's fair to use the KH3-given terms like "Team Attack" or "Grand Magic" for the applicable situation commands."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:41, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Lol, I support that fully as well. You just need to convince everyone else. XD --Samoa Joe (talk) 00:42, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Verdict and The Reversed World

What are these?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:56, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

Made them. An experiment/test for my user page. Didn't pan out, so if you want please delete them. --Samoa Joe (talk) 17:21, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

Per our Media Policy, we do not allow fan-made and unofficial images to be uploaded to the Kingdom Hearts Wiki. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 21:05, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

I could try to count how many (prominent) users on here fail to adhere to that policy, but I'd lose count fairly quickly. But again, it's no issue for me or anyone. It didn't pan out so do what needs doing. --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:11, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Given that our admins are fairly rigorous about deleting such images, I think you'll find that those images are not actually uploaded to the wiki. For example, the one on my talk page is hosted by photobucket (with the only exceptions being images used specifically for wiki purposes, like the walkthroughs, magazine, and guidelines sections)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:08, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
[[1]] [[2]] I literally just found those randomly browsing the image categories. --Samoa Joe (talk) 18:25, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Both of those images were used for April Fool's articles, so those images are for wiki purpose. TheSilentHero 19:14, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Aqua

Aren't those from 0.2, not KH3?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 11:58, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Holy shit you are right.... @_@ I think I made a huge mistake lol! Oh gawd I'm sorry! I done goofed. Go ahead and revert them. When I get back later today, I'll reupload them properly. --Samoa Joe (talk) 13:34, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
Are the 0.2 sprites of Aqua ripped from the game? and what about Mickey's 0.2 sprites? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingdom210 (talkcontribs)
Yes, ripped from 0.2 directly. I do also have Mickey's, but it's gonna have to wait unfortunately. So much other stuff to sort through first. @_@ --Samoa Joe (talk) 03:37, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Uploading images

Hey, don't forget to add categories when you upload images. And you're supposed to use the aboutfile template for the source and stuff. TheSilentHero 16:42, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Stupid me. For that bit. Will do! --Samoa Joe (talk) 16:48, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

KH3 sound assets

Is there any chance you can extract or otherwise contact someone capable of extracting voice clips (eg. the ones used in combat, NPCs etc. in towns, miscellaneous in-the-field dialogue) and convince them to release them? Ultima Spark (talk) Lofty Fantasy KH3D.png 12:13, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

I'm afraid you will need to ask VladVidya about that. --Samoa Joe (talk) 15:33, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

About one of the images you uploaded

What does the RW stand for in the Shibuya Command Menu? TheSilentHero 14:25, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Real world. Shibuya doesn't have its own page, and searching or hotlinking to it redirects to Real-world locations. So...it just sorta made sense lol. Once Shibuya is 100% confirmed and solidified as its own unique world, either through the next game or an ultimania or something, we can change it right? --Samoa Joe (talk) 14:40, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Well, it's based on a real-world location, but the world itself isn't confirmed to be in the real world. So I think it would be better to have it without world tag at the moment, until we get an actual name. TheSilentHero 16:33, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Square Enix uses the abbreviation SS, which we already use for Sora's Story (CoM). --ShardofTruth 17:16, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
You know, that's a good point and I have to question why Shibuya is on that page in the first place. It can be confirmed that isn't in the real world on account of the language alone. I think it's time we give it its own page. --Samoa Joe (talk) 18:00, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
In that case, I'll move it to SS.
I agree that there should be a page made for Shibuya. TheSilentHero 18:33, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Alright. I'll leave that in your capable hands. :) I'll continue on with getting the rest of the images compiled and uploaded. --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:58, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Question about Updates (Melody of Memory)

Hey there. I saw you updating some stuff relating to Melody of Memory spoilers and all that stuff. Is it ok to add the game icon to the character pages then? If so, thanks. Just wanted to know since I just want to get things done when the game officially comes out for U.S. --Freddy1993 (talk) 21:06, 10 November 2020 (PST)

No, its not. Regardless of the length of the game. The wiki's policy is still in effect, nothing has change until the wiki's policy change. UnknownCheisā —— Who is this '4 chan' hacker? 05:09, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
We're still sticking with release date for the icons. As for the story and page changes I made, I made the one small exception on account of there being so little story in Melody and it helps a lot in having clarifications like proper world names. It wasn't much, but I probably still pissed off a site admin or two by jumping the gun on it so I'll have to work extra hard to get back in their good graces lol. :P --Samoa Joe (talk) 05:44, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for clarifying though. --Freddy1993 (talk) 21:46, 10 November 2020 (PST)
Couldn't you just wait another two days? It doesn't matter if a game only has little story content, that doesn't make it okay to post it sooner. TheSilentHero 16:10, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
Jumped the gun that bad, eh? :\ --Samoa Joe (talk) 19:47, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Track plates

Hey. You're the one who uploaded those MoM track plates, right? Can you remove the "Track name" from those images, and make them all have the same size (so the place where the track name goes is on the same position everywhere)?

EDIT: And do you happen to know what font is used for those track names? TheSilentHero 18:24, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, I can do it no problem. I'll need a wee bit of time since I'll have to change them one by one, but sure thing. The font is called DFGSoGei. [Shard uploaded the entire font family a while ago.] Word of warning though, it can be a little bit wonky. If Shard's version doesn't look right, [try roboloid's]. --Samoa Joe (talk) 18:31, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Cool, thanks! TheSilentHero 18:38, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Music uploads

I noticed you uploaded some music files, but they are too long. For copyright reasons, music files can only have a max length of 30 seconds. Also, you didn't add a category. TheSilentHero 18:55, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

So...why do a bunch of our uploads go up to a minute and a half? [Here's one right off the bat]. --Samoa Joe (talk) 19:14, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Well, those shouldn't be that long either. I don't know why they were allowed to stay. TheSilentHero 19:20, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
You say max of 30 seconds, but I'm actually noticing an average of 45 seconds here. Almost overwhelmingly so, sooo... If you want to stick to 30 seconds, there's some house cleaning that needs to get done. :( And I'm sorry to tell you lol, but trimming each song then converting to ogg is...well, "tedious" and time-consuming is a super mellow way of putting it. --Samoa Joe (talk) 02:31, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
