Data?

The header "Data" is based on the latest interview about BBSFM, in which Nomura states that, unlike the battle against the Unknown, the battles against the Armor of the Master and No Heart do not fall within continuity, and they are more like revived data than anything else. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 00:32, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

I see. Many thanks in clearing this up for me.

Question?

Is this fight canon?--KRoNoS 05:07, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

No, Normura (or however you spell his name.) confirmed that No Heart and Armor of the Master are not canon. They're merely just improved data from their predecessor.

1stkirbyever 05:10, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

No, he did not say they were uncanon. He said that he made them data replicas so that they would not interfere with the story. Canon means "official story", not "must occur as part of the main thread of the story".
What this means is that Terra, Ventus, Aqua merely fought in a simulator - they never actually fought Xehanort in his armor."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:27, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Translations error

You can all read about it here, Machinations is clearly the wrong translation. --ShardofTruth 07:48, 6 July 2011 (EDT)

requoted here, since I'm unlikely to go back there.

I translated it as "Machinations" because the word Enbou refers to foresight in the sense of "deeply laid plans", while foresight itself can just mean "prediction". A machination is "A clever scheme or artful plot, usually crafted for evil purposes", while "inbou" specifically refers to a "plot or conspiracy" -- conspiracy being something that requires multiple plotters. "Machination" itself is literally translated as "sakudou", not "inbou". I believe "Machination" is a clearer translation of "enbou", but if there is significant examples of them being translated separately, then the change is appropriate. Also, it should absolutely be "unto" or "to the". "Of the" is simply not what the particles imply.192.249.47.165 08:35, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
A google search gives ""遠謀" foresight" as much more frequently used outside of KH than ""遠謀" machination", so we need to change this page's links to "Foresight unto Darkness".192.249.47.165 08:35, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
Thanks for the insight Kryten that's really helpful. My Japanese skills end with google's language tool.^^ --ShardofTruth 08:46, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
So yeah, can someone perform the move and link corrections?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:13, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
This conversation is old and it looks like a decision has been made, but for the sake of the double-checking, it's agreed that the page needs to be moved to "Foresight unto Darkess"?--NinjaSheik 20:37, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
Don't we have an official English name in 2.5 now? TheSilentHero 20:49, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Reference to KH1 song

Should we mention that the Japanese and English titles seem to be a reference to the last boss song of KH1 (Guardando nel buio, Italian for "peering into darkness", "watching in the dark", something along those lines)? It's not exact, but the similar intention is there, and both bosses share the Xehanort connection. Ultima Spark (talk) Lofty Fantasy KH3D.png 21:28, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Sure okay."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:14, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
