FA icon.png Point of contention, but my fiancé who is seated right next to me at the time I am writing this, is well learned in history, and WWII is something that not very many history scholars or older people forget, at least. So:

Those goggles and hats that the Aeroplane pilots wear.... they're not specifically British. Every faction that fought in WWII wore them; in fact, every fighter pilot wore them. Look at this for instance.

(I could link the WP page on the flight helmet, but it won't bloomin' let me. So look it up on WP for yourselves.)

Now the design of the aircraft, to him at least, suggests it's more inspired by a Russian build, than an actual Spitfire (if that's what everyone's thinking). The paint especially. Some might say the paint job looks like a Spitty's, but it's much more muted, and a Spitty's nose is rounder, and it has an enclosed cockpit (as do most WWII aircraft).

It's just me nitpicking here, but just saying: the point I'm trying to drive home is that the design and the flight helmet usage do not suggest that it is a British thing. It's a cartoonish depiction of many features of aircraft from decades past, coming together. So if anyone wants to come and correct me for not saying it's a British thing, or modifying the description....... well, you've got this block of text to take into account.

There are some things even the stars cannot tell me. TroisNyxÉtienne — 18:15, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Here's the link: Flight helmet. If you're sure it's not British, feel free to remove it.

Cheers, TSH. I had no idea how to insert it without buggering my text up. WP's Flight helmet page has the German design, which looks similar, the Type B-6, which doesn't seem specific to anyone but was used in WWII, and there's a dead link to Red Army flight helmets, which I would have otherwise loved to see. Regardless: edited. Troisnyx 18:27, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png I think the more correct article we're looking for is Aviator hat. In any case, there's no mention of Britain in the article (the closest mention of a country is the reference to Charles Lindbergh, and American aviator), so the reference to Great Britain in our article is false.
