| Riku travels to the Land of Departure to discuss with Terra the promise they made when Riku was a boy and sees Terra, Ven, and Aqua off as they search for Sora in the Realm of Darkness.

| One year after Sora's disappearance, Riku travels to Radiant Guardian to speak to the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee about Sora. They discuss that he must still be around somewhere if they can still remember him but Riku points out that they should have at least found one clue after searching for a whole year. Cid reveals not only data he gathered from the True Organization XIII, but also a Sora constructed from data thanks to the information form the Twilight town and Radiant Garden Castle computer. Riku and co. use the Data Sora in hope of uncovering a clue about the Real Sora.

| Unfortunately the Data-Sora wasn't able to uncover anything. Seemingly putting the group back to square one. The Fairy Godmother arrives to give the group some hope as she reveals that Riku's dreams as well as "the other two's" may lead the group to Sora.
