Plasma Encounter (プラズマエンカウンター Purazuma Enkauntā?) is a Link Summon that appears in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to summon Stitch and move him around to create a series of lines which create an enclosed area filled with electricity.

MechanicsEdit

In Kingdom Hearts III, Plasma Encounter is the Link Summon attached to the Ohana Heartbinder. It has a base duration of 30 seconds. When used Sora summons Stitch, where he can then control Stitch's trajectory for his movements with Plasma Surge. The second usage of Plasma Surge will have its line connected to the first, and on the third usage the line connects to both the second and first to create an enclosed discharge area. When Finish is used, electricity will be discharged five times into each zone based on their order of creation (returning to the first when all possible locations have been discharged), after which all zones will be discharged simultaneously.

Enemies Stitch makes contact with will take damage while he is moving with the use of Plasma Surge.

Plasma Encounter exclusively deals Thunder damage.

StrategyEdit

Plasma Encounter is best used against enemies who will reliably stay in place, or otherwise can easily be caught within the discharge zones created by Plasma Surge. If using Plasma Encounter to deal with a single target, either stack discharge zones on top of it to increase damage during the finisher if the target is immobile, or if it can potentially move out of the zone then consider placing just one zone and going straight to the finisher to concentrate all five initial discharges onto the zone over the target.

If used against a group of enemies then it is generally best to cover the widest area possible, making the zones as large and as swiftly as possible. While the zones can reach into the air, it is best to keep them on the ground as the zone has a harder time catching enemies when extending upwards.
