He became Captain Justice to help people in order to gain popularity votes so that he could win the [[Million Dreams Award]], but whenever someone needed help, he used an excuse and ran away. However, this was not always the case; Unversed where the only things he'd runaway from, leaving [[Aqua]] to deal with them. When he DID try helping someone, he usual bungled all his attempts or tried to take credit for everyone else's work, such as when [[Ventus]] came to visit Disney Town and he failed repeatedly to repair [[Huey, Dewey and Louie|the triplets]]'s ice cream-making machine.[[File:The Million Dreams Award 02 KHBBS.png|thumb|right|At wits end, Queen Minnie banishes Pete from [[Disney Town]] because of him misbehaving for far too long.]]

 

As Captain Dark, Pete became a rouge racer in [[Rumble Racing]] to win first place and to bash the [[Glidewinder]]s, that were also participating, off the tracks. During this time, Pete almost ran over [[Terra]] when he came to get rid of the [[Unversed]]; he was put in his place soon after when Terra joined in the racing to get rid of the Unversed.

After Queen Minnie announces that Terra, Aqua, and Ven win the award, Pete jumps on stage and creates an uproar. Queen Minnie points out that she thought Pete was trying to do something good, but he went about it for the wrong reasons. However, someone people believed there was good in him, because he DID get a few votes - "they knew you were looking out for them". Pete says he doesn't care for their "lousy" votes, demanding the prize. He is then taken away by a squad of "security" [[brooms]] and banished to the Lanes Between to "cool off". There, he hears Maleficent's voice telling him she can free him if he helps her conquer the worlds. She then opens a dark corridor, which Pete walks into and vanishes from his prison.
