The Kingdom Hearts Official Playlist is a compilation soundtrack that features over 350 tracks from across the Kingdom Hearts series. It was released on music streaming services on February 15, 2022 in celebration of the series's 20th anniversary. It includes the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Original Soundtrack, the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Original Soundtrack, and the Kingdom Hearts - III, II.8, Unchained χ & Union χ [Cross] - Original Soundtrack, including Utada Hikaru songs that were absent from the previous digital listings of these albums.[1]
Campaign
A Library Addition Campaign was created to celebrate the launch of the playlist, running from February 18 to March 23. Users who downloaded the playlist on Spotify or Apple Music and connected their account would receive an original phone wallpaper.
Notes and references
- ^ The YouTube version of the playlist still excludes "Hikari -PLANITb Remix-", "Passion -after the battle-", and the English "Simple and Clean -Ray Of Hope MIX-". In addition, "Passion -opening version-" is replaced with "Passion ~single version~", an extended arrangement of the track that has never been featured in a Kingdom Hearts game.
