Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories: Difference between revisions

Pluto leads them to a crossroad. Not sure which path to take, a mysterious man in a [[black coat|black cloak]] approaches party and speaks to him, but his words are incomprehensible. The crossroads becomes one path and it leads trio to [[Castle Oblivion]]. The cloaked man appear before Sora, sampling his memories by going through him. After that, he tells party that in this castle "To to find is to lose. And to lose is to find" and then gives Sora a [[cards|card]], which he create from boy's memory. The man explains to trio how to use these cards and then disappear in [[Corridor of Darkness|black portal]]. Sora then use the card to proceed through the castle.

The cloaked man from before appears once more after they arrive on the next floor, but a second cloaked man also appears and introduces himself as [[Axel]]. Cloaked man give Axel a card and ask him to challenge Sora instead of him, to which Axel agrees. Sora fends him off and is given more World Cards, all of them sampled from Sora memories and thus resemble worlds he already visited previously. Sora, Donald, and Goofy go through each floor, they relive their memories from their first adventure, but all of them are somehow distorted in a different way. The party realise that their heads are being manipulated as they begin to lose their original memories. By piecing together their distorted memories, they eventually discover that a [[Nobody]], [[Naminé]], has been reorganizing their memories at the orders of [[Marluxia]], the one who led them to the castle, in order to put herself in [[Kairi]]'s place within Sora's memories and thus make him easy to control by the [[Organization XIII]] and Marluxia primarly. As the boy makes his way to the peak of the castle, Sora slays the Organization members [[Larxene]] and [[Vexen]] (although Axel is the one who puts an end to Vexen by blazing him out), as well as defeating the [[Riku Replica]] created by Vexen who has been progammed by scientist to be loyal to the Nobodies and later reprogrammed by Naminé to think that he's the real Riku.

The Riku Replica instead chooses to reject its given memories entirely, and leaves to find his own purpose. Desperate to prove that he is his own person, he is persuaded by Axel to slay Zexion in order to take his power and become something that the original Riku is not, but he is disappointed when it doesn't make him feel any different. Riku, following advice from DiZ to seek Naminé, runs into his Replica at the basement resembling Twilight Town. Enraged, the Replica challenges Riku to a mortal fight. Real Riku wins, and tries to comfort his suffering Replica as the latter fades away. Afterward, Riku finds Naminé and ready to slay the girl for what she has done, but Naminé quickly explain the situation about Sora and two are befriended each other. Naminé offers to manipulate Riku's memories in order to lock Ansem's phantom away, but Riku declines and instead chooses to confront Ansem directly. DiZ supports Riku, by giving him black coat so the Organization won't be able to track him down and also giving him a card to the last basement floor. When Ansem emerges from the basement, and Riku is ready to take him down. Boy manages to defeat part of Ansem's presense in him, but his power still lingers inside Riku.
