First month

Okay, maggosh and Shard were nominated for this before they were promoted, so I think it should still count, especially since we don't have any other nominations. I've already been watching the edits from these guys for this month, so I know how I want to vote. Other staff (excluding maggosh and shard, obviously) we really need to meet on the IRC to decide the winner and give the award.Glorious CHAOS! 22:28, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I'm on right now, so I can tell you who I would like to vote for. Ultima 17:42, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
So would this be an organized meeting? Or something where people randomly drop in? The former would make more sense, I suppose... --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 18:13, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
I am on right now. But, with school starting, if we do organize a meeting on the IRC, can it we make it on the weekend? I'm up to my nose in school work and it's barely the 2nd day ._. -Azul81677 22:46, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Cool, you guys got this thing rolling. I will keep an eye on things, but I will abstain from voting because of my Beauro...Buauer...super-awesome editing status, and in case a neutral party is needed. This month's featured user is maggosh, who has made a total of 12,352 edits! maggosh rules over a medium-sized dukedom here, and also, is a Hollow. He appreciates candlelight dinners, long walks on the beach, and swords bigger than your house. He's the angriest gamer you've ever heard, and he loves the Power Glove. It's so bad. And I mean, BAD. YEAAAARGHHH!

Euh...

This month's featured user is maggosh, who has made a total of 12,352 edits! He's an angreh gamer with an insatiable thirst for KH-related news, and of late, he has been doing gnoming (?) work and such on the wiki articles. As of late August, he is the Fresh Prince of Rollback (but believe me, both the candidates nominated for this month became Staff, so no can do :P). It's so bad. And I mean, BAD*(the second half of this word has been intentionally cut off)*. YEAAAAAARRRRGH !

I tried fixing the medal image, so that the medal would be on top of the ribbon and so that the ribbon was actually symetric, but the file won't update. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON.

The "It's so bad" line in mine is actually from Nintendo's movie "The Wizard", which features maggosh's splendiforous Power Glove. So, if you guys didn't catch the reference...that's the reference.
Also, any admins who have not gotten me their votes yet (everyone but me, TNE, and Neumannz), just e-mail me your vote. We were really supposed to have been done with this before the end of the month, and honestly, it's a bit disrespectful of us to leave the nominees hanging. I'm going to have to go ahead and call it by Monday, so please hurry.Glorious CHAOS! 03:27, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Do we start October now? Cause I've got my nom for a certain user already written out... KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON.

I believe we should. What about the box ? TROISNYX Symbol - Bell.png AMDG 00:39, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
It looks good, TNE. Should we archive the former noms? KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON.

Yes, we should, though I wouldn't recommend archiving until three months down the road. Just like the previous noms are shown on Featured Media for a time. It at least gives us a sort of guideline. TROISNYX Symbol - Bell.png AMDG 00:55, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, to avoid the fiasco again, should we start designing the box for October yet, even though it's only the sixth? Only Lapis has been nominated, and most of the people that voted last time already voted this round... Fifth Month

As much as I like seeing the good users on the wiki be recognized so ovewhelmingly, it's no fun if there's no competition! I can only nominate one person, but two others I had in mind were KingdomKeyDarkside, for his work on ability articles, welcoming users, working on templates, and, of course, the Mirage Arena. The other is JFHavoc, who is also extremely good at helping newbie users, creating templates - specifically talk bubbles - and has made a very helpful guide for making them. Someone nominate these guys please! If anyone else comes to mind, nominate them too, either way, let's make the vote for the new year interesting!LapisLazuliScarab21:11, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Although I agree with them being excellent editors, I disagree in the sense that some of those people have not been all that active in the past month. Isn't the featured used for the best, most active editor in that month? For example, I have not seen LevL contribute all that much this month. Way to the Dawn KHII.pngChitalian8Wayward Wind KHBBS.png 21:19, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Then you can always nominte someone else. They don't have to have been active recently, it's just preferable that they are. We need to take their overall work into account as well.LapisLazuliScarab21:31, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

User of the "Month", to me, implies they did good work this month. --Ag (Silver) - 47 107.8682 amu ~Crono Vsymbol1.png 21:36, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Look at the guidelines on the page. Special focus should certainly be placed on this particular month, but their overall edits need to be taken into consideration as well. And again, these are just my choices. If you have others, just nominate a different user.LapisLazuliScarab21:43, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

I think that the main deciding factor should be the month's edits, while the overall edits would be more of a lesser, guiding factor. Way to the Dawn KHII.pngChitalian8Wayward Wind KHBBS.png 23:49, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I think the deciding factor should be who the community thinks should be the Featured User, through their nominations, votes, and experiences with said user. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON.

I think it's more like a half-and-half thing. Half of the consideration should go into their good edits for the previous month. The other half of the consideration should go into their overall accomplishments and likability. We wouldn't nominate for an extremely great editor if they only edited once last month or an great editor in the last month who is very rude and made some bad edits (not vandalism, just bad edits) before. Of course, that's just my opinion. Heartless Emblem.png If I found a million dollars, I'd find the person who lost it, and, if he was poor, I'd return it Heartless Emblem.png

The half-and-half idea sums just about everything up, from my point. I will comment about the community deciding though, but before I do I want to make one thing clear: I do NOT mean to sound mean to anyone or their opinions. Now to the point... I have no problem with the community interacting through means of voting/discussion. I do have a problem with the community voting/discussing certain matters without thinking. Users who are nominated/elected for the "User of the Month" award should be users who are great editors first and good friends second. The main point of a Wikia is to edit about a subject you love and to provide others with helpful, quality information about it. A Wikia is NOT a place to come and socialize about trivial matters/things meant to be discussed on the IRC/Facebook. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of great editors on here who are good people whom we're all friends with; however, when it comes to awards of who's been an awesome editor and who's been an awesome friend, we need to choose who's been an awesome editor. Although we all need an awesome friend, a Wiki needs an awesome editor. Just remember the true reason to edit a Wiki when you vote on the nominated users.--Xion4ever 23:24, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I guess you're right, Xion. Still, the users on this wiki are close enough to interact as if it was a facebook. Sure, it's just a place to edit, but somehow it's become more like a community. We all know you, for example, as an awesome editor and an awesomer friend. :) Even if the KHWiki was only meant to be edited, it's become something else. and you can't stop it. :DHeartless Emblem.png If I found a million dollars, I'd find the person who lost it, and, if he was poor, I'd return it Heartless Emblem.png

Well I suppose that I may have implied friendship as a contributing factor, Xion, I never said it was the main form of interaction. You see, I moreso meant instances when someone makes an edit revert, but explains it in the edit summary. That kind of explaination can prevent a whole bunch confusion, and shows that the editor cares enough to give a reason. There are other times when someone makes a perfectly legitimate edit, but then it is undone by the person, who never gives a reason. That would be a negative interaction, in my opinion. And before this discussion turns back into the talk page warning and IRC usage thing, I ask you, don't bring that here, please. You made your point, and now I have stated mine. Well what you said is surely true, it was not fully what I meant by "interactions". And, on a side note, just because someone doesn't go nuts on the mainspace doesn't mean that they don't have an in depth knowledge of policies. If, say, I were to subtract about 23000 of Kryten's edits, and replaced 80% of the remaining edits with forum and talk page edits, he would still have a clear knowledge of the running of the wiki and its information. That would allow him to fully contribute to the wiki, even if his edit count was dominated with conversation. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON.

Month's over, New Year's begun, shall we put the new Featured User on the Main Page? Chitalian8 15:20, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Rules

Alright, so I'm just cleaning up the wording/ rules a little bit, as some of the rules are a tad outdated with the way things are being done, so here is what I was thinking...

Guidelines

So, what makes a user eligible for nomination? Here are the guidelines:

  • The user should be obviously hard-working. Any sort of edits, from spelling corrections to full page rewrites are acceptable, as long as the user makes quality edits.
  • The user should not vandalize, or maliciously violate the policies of this wiki. You don't have to be perfect to be nominated, but any unhappiness you may have shouldn't disrupt the voting process.
  • Nominations should put emphasis on the user's edits for the last month. While a user's lifetime edits should certainly be taken into account, it should be possible for a hard-working "newbie" to be the Featured User, if they outshine other editors in that month.
  • Any editor who currently holds a staff position is ineligible for this award.
  • It's probably a good idea to be an editor of this wiki.

Nominating

So, there's an editor you think should be recognized. How do you make it happen?

For the first 21 days of a month, just post the name of the user, and sign under your nomination with your signature. If someone has already nominated the user you support, just second their nomination using the # symbol. To find a user's contributions, along with a complete breakdown of the namespaces that they have contributed to, simply enter their name into the edit count page.

On the first of the following month, the winner will receive a Featured User medal, which can be displayed on their user page, and the winner will be showcased on the wiki's front page along with a commemorative, custom description of the winner.

To keep any one person from sweeping the awards, any editor can only win once. Furthermore, to prevent sockpuppeting and other forms of cheating, only registered users may vote. If it is discovered that someone is being a poor sport and attempting to sockpuppet, their votes for the current election, as well as the next two, will be negated.

Voting

Each registered editor can make one nomination or seconding; they must put their vote and signature, (~~~~) underneath the nominee of their choice. If you want to explain what it is about the user that makes you agree with the nomination, just add a comment as if you were posting on a talk page. Please don't vote for yourself.

So, overall, not that much was changed, but I wanted it here so that anyone else could add/ modify the rules if needed. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 22:09, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

Should there be some kind of a restriction on consecutive nominations? Like say someone loses to someone else one month, can they be nominated again the following month? Chitalian8 04:32, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

I was thinking to do so, but I wasn't sure if I should. I'll add it now. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 15:26, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Interdiction KHD.png This is mainly in response to a comment Erry made in his vote, but it's not directed at him exclusively; it should apply to everyone. All of the users nominated right now are completely eligible to be nominated. RoxasXIIILK's edits are just as legitimate as Crono, Inexistent, and Chitalian's. Votes should mention something positive about the person you want to vote for, not suggest that the other candidates are inferior. If you'd care to read the nomination guidelines above, you'd see that the critera are 1) Hardworking, 2) No vandals, and 3) The user is preferably active this particular month.

The word "mainspace" doesn't appear anywhere in there. Hard work. Not "Hard work except the userspace cause that doesn't count". Just "hard work". Yes, the mainspace should be paramount, but helping other users is also a very big part of it. Roxas does hard work making images and working coding for other users. He's helpful. If you think another user is more deserving right now and want to vote for them instead, just do that. Vote for that person without denouncing the competition, 'mkay?

SilverCrono Well, I can tell who you are. "Oh, you mean I was supposed to lie."

"Lea, we don't have time for this." — 20:41, February 2, 2011 (UTC)

Isa_bbs.png I see where you're coming from, but in my view, Featured User is meant to promote and reward a use for helping and benefiting the wiki, and as a principle, should follow all unspoken guidelines for a good user. Now, let's think about the main purpose of a wiki here. The point of a wiki, even the slogan, is A free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

Now, it's a free encyclopedia. Have you ever seen an encyclopedia where people get credited and acknowledged for talking? For helping the people? It's like dedicating a movie to the intern who gets you coffee everyday. It just doesn't happen.

No, simile aside, think of the wiki. Do we want to reward people for helping the wiki and editing, generally being useful? Or do we want to put the wiki-princess on a silver platter, and therefore encourage users - new and old - that this is model behavior? Remember, if you will, that this wiki is about Kingdom Hearts, a game series aimed at children. Children are impressionable and easy to manipulate/influence. If they see Roxas as the Featured User, they'll think this is okay. They'll think this is what we want, not ever editing and just talking. Is that what we want? No. No, it's not.

Some of you reading this may think this is a personal attack against Roxas. No, it is not, by any means. Roxas is great, he's a great guy. I don't hate the player, I hate the game. It's not Roxas I have a problem with, it's his behavior. Thank you for reading.

EVIL has come... at last...
While my opinion would be more in favor of mainspace, I am going to look at this in an unbiased manner. Look, for instance, at TNE. While, yes, she has made over 3000 mainpace edits, they account for a meager 20% of her edit count. YET, she is one of the most liked and helpful users here. While, yes, only three mainspace edits is a bit pitiful, it should not be the damning factor for a user. If a user has proven themself in a plethora of other manners, I would fully support them in their endevors and nomination.

Keyblade-Blk.png I second, or rather fourth, the comments made by SilverCrono. I cannot justify, at all, the featuring of a WikiPrincess as an honorable user that can be thought of as a "model user." A wiki cannot run on WikiPrincesses; arguably, some are necessary to keep a thriving base of readers alive, but they are in now way, shape, or form a model for user behavior.

And for everyone who is saying that mainspace mains nothing in voting for a featured user:

  • "The user should be obviously hard-working. Any sort of edits, from spelling corrections to full page rewrites are acceptable, as long as the user makes quality edits."

This quite honestly implies that mainspace is a major, if not the most important factor in choosing a featured user. Hard-working does not mean chatting on the user talk pages, which for your information makes up over 70% of Roxas's edits. From what I can tell, the other ~30% is distributed between making talk templates, uploading images for talk templates, and editing his own profile to make it extremely... aesthetic, so to say. It shouldn't even need to be said, but talk templates and extravagant user pages are not necessary for any wiki. There are wikis that don't even have talk template, and they are getting along just fine.

Hard-working, by the definition of the Featured User voting, is edits from the low level of gnoming to the large level of rewriting pages like a WikiKnight. The second sentence above specifically pertains to the two levels of editing in the mainspace, not the two poles of WikiPrincesses and WikiKnights. Also, I will never, ever find user talk page chats quality edits that help the wiki grow toward becoming a fully, entirely comprehensive database.

I mean not to directly attack the nominated user, but rather the, in my opinion, ridiculous amount of support for a user based on activities that have no reason to be "featured."

If, as a quite new user, my opinion matters, I must second what LapisScarab has said. You all have good points, but he is still a user worth being freatures. Have any of you been helped by him? If so, you would have known that he does the work of an editer much more pleasant, even being a company to many of them. I dont really care about that of a "WikiPrincesses". What if he is? He is still getting more votes than any other candidates. And, what is the point of voting in the first place, if now you guys are complaning about who are we voting for? I dont meant to be rude, nor I disrespect the hard work that Chitalian, SilverCrono, and The Inexistent did. I fact, I admire that. But the voting is "Featured user", not "Featured user for collaborating in the main-space. And his "activities" have a reason to be featured. Why? Because the ones who voted for him know how helpfull to everyone he is. To be "featured" is to be "distinguished" for somenthing. And he can be distinguished for being somenthing most of us editors somentimes dont look like: Humans.

TALK - Friendships are in direct contravention of mercenary conduct as delineated in your contracts, and on a personal note: I am very, very, disappointed with you.
Vsymbol.png Dark Enigma: Look at it this way: We don't want Wiki-princesses to be featured, especially when there are not one, but three more qualified editors on the nominations list, because they're more likely to win, as people are voting for that person not because they deserve it, but because they want to vote for their friend. This, I believe, is biased, and unfair to the editors who actually deserve to be featured.

Even then, allow me to quote myself in this "... what is the point of voting in the first place, if now you guys are complaning about who are we voting for?". I perfectly understand what you are trying to say, but I think, users should decide by themselves. If not, then, why dont you DIRECTLY pick up the candidates based on their edits on the main space? That should make all of you happy (Im not being rude, if it sounds like that) but for now, people are wanting Roxas to be the featured user. There's nothing you can do about it. Now, if he wins, or not, is another subject. About it being "unfair"... dont take it wrong, but you are not the ones to decides who deserves and who not deserves to be featured, is a voting because of that.

EDIT CONFLICT: Why is Roxas not FU material? He's helped most of the users on this wiki, and that helps this wiki, if not just as much than damn sure close, as editing the mainspace. Why can't we recognize users who work on the other side of the wiki?

20px-Pin_000.png Well, he has not helped most of the users, for one thing, he's a relatively new user, before Roxas, there was JFHavoc. Back to the point, aside from his excellent talk bubble and image skills, he does not help people do much that is constructive for the actual wiki. Please forgive me, Roxas, if I'm coming off harsh.

OathOblivTalkPic_zps6eebf78e.png Ok this is ridiculous I agree with what Enigma is saying at this point. I work my butt off all the time. My grades even slipped a little because I spend so much time helping users and Chitalian I help people with a lot of coding as well I do my best to upload images to the wiki such as the Oathkeeper & Oblivion transparent image. Point being I dedicate myself as much as I can and isn't that the message. Shouldn't we be promoting to develope an extreme dedication to what you do? The fact that you are all being so down on me (and don't say you aren't being down on me because guess what, saying you don't like my behavior is the samething.) So either take me off or just enough. I'm so tired of reading this crap. If someone calls me a wiki princess one more time I will get angry because basicaly you're taking all the work I've done and saying gee that's not good enough. You know what whatever ok whatever. It's not really the fact I wanna win cause frankly I could care the hell less. But it's the fact that you guys are going into a complete frenzy to say I'm not FU material so you no what if that's it then whatever you guys go do what you need to friggin do. But realize all of the people that voted for me genuenly feel I 100% deserve it so think of how they could possibly feel that way and no it's not because I'm their friend. Isa_bbs.png You guys aren't understanding. Did you read my post at all? None of this has to do with Roxas. This discussion could be about any month. Stop defending Roxas because he's Roxas. It's like defending a child molester because he gave you candy. (Not that Roxas is a child molester... it's just all I could come up with.)

We're trying to say that being a wiki-princess shouldn't merit being a Featured User. And to you guys saying He's helped most of the users on this wiki, and that helps this wiki, if not just as much than damn sure close, as editing the mainspace., no. you are wrong. Most of the users Roxas converses with are also wiki-princesses.

Gah. Gah. GAH GAH GAH!

You guys...just don't get it at all! We don't hate Roxas. Nobody said his edits were useless. (Okay, maybe that was said, but that's not what I mean at all.) Dammit! Did any of you read my post at all? All I'm saying is that he's not Featured User material. Not that he's a bad user, dammit, he's not featured user material.

User talk:RoxasXIIILK

The bottom. Dark-EnigmaXIII, As If, and RoxasNobody. You guys are pissing me off. Why are you coming to his aid like this? This isn't a fight. Gah, I don't even know how to voice my feelings right now. I guess what I'm trying to say is that nothing is wrong with Roxas. He just doesn't make the kind of edits we are trying to promote.

But whatever. I'm through. If you guys, myself included, make such a big-shebang out of this, it's too far gone for me. If Roxas wins? Yay, good for him, sugar and rainbows. If now? Yay, sugar and rainbows. But no Crono. Not either way. I'm through with this.

Excuse me while I go edit without expecting rewards from now on. Have fun, and sorry for that outburst.

I am not a crook.

Keyblade-Blk.png Okay, this has to stop now. This started out as a conversation about wiki-princesses in general, using Roxas as an example. Now this has blown into a complete attack on the user, including the subject's friends trying to redeem him for the help he provided them. We are obviously not going to reach any kind of consensus in this kind of debate. In fact, all that has been achieved is that several nominated users have essentially lowered their chances of receiving votes from users who may view this conversation.

I'm locking this page, it will be re-opened March 1st.

If I win or tie with Roxas, can I abstain? I apologize to everyone, but please understand, it's a personal thing - I want to win in May so I can be displayed on my birthday month. :) (June >_>) --Ag (Silver) - 47 107.8682 amu ~Crono Vsymbol1.png 15:50, 14 February 2011 (EST)

Mid-voting ineligibility

Xemnas
Infinity KHD.png SilverCrono was made a moderator before the featured user was decided. The rules very clearly state that staff members cannot receive the award, so Crono is ineligible. Chitalian pointed out that during the first month, maggosh won despite being made a staff member just like Crono. However, this is because both of the only two nominees, maggosh and ShardofTruth, were made staffers at the same time, and we needed to pick a winner. That is not the case this time. As much as I think Crono would deserve being the Featured User, the nomination rules explicitly bar staff members from winning.

20px-Pin_000.png I guess it makes sense, though I do think that Crono should be made the FU. Also, according to a new rule made by Kryten, now the Featured Users must have constructively helped the wiki in some way. Therefore, Roxas would also be considered ineligible. If Crono's nomination is rendered null, then the win would go to Inexistent.

How Many Times Could a Featured User Win, if a Featured User Was So Good?

DaysXionHooded.png
OPXion4EverIcon.png I'll get straight to the point: How many times can a person be nominated/win the award? Before I continue I want to stress that I do NOT have anything against any past, present, or future user who in in the position I stated above. I simply want to get this matter straight and acknowledged for future reference. In this month's case, we have a user nominated again for the award. No big. However, this user has already been previously nominated AND won the award months previously. Should we create a policy for a strict limit the amount of times a person can win this award? (Yay politics!)

I don't see much point in having the same user/group of users to be shuffled about in the nominations varying months only to win the award multiple times. Not saying they aren't great editors who deserve to be acknowledged, but it's time to give other's a chance. Are there other users who are just as good (in their own way)? Sure. Are there other users who don't have such caliber? Of course. When I say "in their own way," I don't mean they're awesome pals who don't know much about Wiki editing/writing, but know how to make talkbubbles, or they're the quiet hard worker who can write a full article on their own. I'm talking about users who have their own strong points: Lapis with his appearance article sections, Kryten/Neumannz/others for their all-around great editing, Guardian Soul/Erry/Shard of Truth/others for their image skills, etc.

Back to repeated winning users: We all know which users are noteworthy and good. Visitors to the Wiki can find such people through the past Featured Users page as well as user conversations here on the Wiki. We're supposed to show our amazing editors, right? How can we effectively "show off" if we use the same users over and over? Or, do we not have as many amazing editors as we thought? (I know this last question is a lie, I can think of multiple users who qualify as amazing).

So, I propose this: Remove/focus less on the "X user helped out during Y month and did a great job!" and instead focus on the overall work they've done. A user could be an amazing user, yet not be as active in that month. Also, I say we limit the number of times a user can be nominate/win this award. Listen, guys: We all know who the hard working and Wiki-Princess editors are.

The Inexistent - Dusk, Light to Darkness...
TALK - The great transition.
To start:
  • Nominations should put emphasis on the user's edits for the last month. While a user's lifetime edits should certainly be taken into account, it should be possible for a hard-working "newbie" to be the Featured User, if they outshine other editors in that month.

This rule is one of the originals, and has never been revised. Edits for the month are emphasized in order for the newer editors to still have a chance. I don't really understand what benefit would be gained by focusing on lifetime edits only, or just mainly. This has been discussed before, and you voiced your opinion in favor of dividing worthiness between the month's edits and lifetime.

  • Any editor who was nominated one month prior to this voting session is ineligible to be nominated this month.

This rule, on the other hand, has been revised. I had originally written it so that a user nominated this month would be ineligable for two monthes following, as opposed to only one. As I've seen, the only editors that have been nominated a second time have won the second time through (ex. Soxra, Chitalian). Either way, this prevents someone being nominated 10x over until they get no votes (the Room Coar effect). AND, in the event someone was nominated every other month for a year, I would then leave them a message to discontinue the practice for a while (I will add a rule now).

  • To keep any one person from sweeping the awards, any editor can only win once.

This is like every other featured system on this wiki. A media or article can only be featured once, and so can a user. It was an honest mistake, because that month was confusing (with the talk page locked, four nominees, and a separate featured user on this wiki and on the wikia).

  • Any editor who currently holds a staff position is ineligible for this award.

This is perhaps one of the most important rules. If it wasn't in place, honestly, somebody like Kryten would win every month.

  • We all know who the hard working and Wiki-Princess editors are.

This argument also occured, and resulted in the talk page being locked. Roxas, unfortunatly, is now gone, because he couldn't take the constant he's a wiki- princess crap. In all honesty, in the way it was happening, it was cyber bullying, and therefore I will never use that term to refer to anyone ever again. He helped users more than anyone else, and yet we drove him away. I know this really has nothing to do with your statement, but it had to be said.

I hope that this answers all of your questions and concerns. If you have any more, please don't refrain from asking.

DaysXionHooded.png

Question!

Hey, uh, I was gonna nominate someone, but uh...lol, which month do we go with? The guy I wanna give a shout out to has been kicking ass throughout September, but we've skipped August entirely - another month where he kicked some ass! Also, can I nominate someone who's already been featured before? --Ignis (talk) 04:29, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

We always nominate for the next month, so that person had a full month of being featured. So in this case, you would nominate for October. You can't nominate someone who already had been featured, though. TheSilentHero 07:44, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
