Actually, this is probably the only other main project I'm thinking we should focus on for now as a site. So this one's pretty straight forward: We need to catch up on all the merchandise released by Disney, this year especially. Here's the list of what to do: Identify all the merchandise released this year. I've got a running list here for links and stuff so we can than turn those into articles. I've only gone back half-way through November, so we still have a ways to go. So we need help combing through sites like KH13 and KHinsider (which have done an excellent job at documenting it all) and list all the merch there here. I'll be moving my list to a forum in the coming days so that it's more public. Create a format for how to document merchandise. This is not currently covered in the Manual of Style (despite me being pretty sure I added it over the summer), and there really isn't a consensus beyond the soundtrack albums and books, largely because before this year, the only other merch coming out was occasional figurine sets. So, what do we actually want to cover in merch articles? Should that format change for different merch (i.e. S.H. Figuarts vs. KH plushies vs. KH bedding)? Also, how do we determine when to create new articles? Is it by set of items, by company, or article for each separate item (i.e. a page for Pop! Disney: Kingdom Hearts - Mickey, Pop! Disney: Kingdom Hearts, or Funko) ? Actually create each article as necessary.

For a format, here's what I'm thinking: Intro ("XUZ is a KH-themed clock by Keytech Incorporated"), Design (Describe the physical appearance of the product), and Release (Details about the announcement, development details [if known and available], and release date/distribution details). Should we reconsider what merchandise we actually cover? Simply put, trying to cover every t-shirt, button/pin, and such is going to be a major pain and, to be honest, nightmare to not only catalog, but also create articles for. Xion4ever 03:39, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Sure, we can do that. I've talked with KrytenKoro a couple times, and he's told me we should be covering all the merchandise that's officially licensed by Disney/Square Enix. Hence, the project, and the almost-unending list. I've been having a hard time deciding whether or not to make articles for each item, or how the articles would be set up. I think giving each article its own page is a bit much (not to mention a whole lot of work). I think it's better to cover the same type of merchandise, like all the Funko Pop figures on one page, with sections for each set, like we do for Play Arts Kai, for example. As for stuff like shirts, I think we should just have a gallery of the items, and give each type of item (shirt, pin, necklace) either their own page or section. I'm leaning towards SilentHero's approach, but I know for certain subcomponents of each type of merchandise (For example, a promo Sora KH3D pin) has a bit more importance/pull than the typically released merchandise...which leans me back to KSM's approach. I really like your format, it's organized and gives a lot more room for info than the current articles. In regards to the individual vs group articles, I like the idea of giving individual articles to anything that has enough info available to warrant one. Like maybe not something for each little button, but the Play Arts -Kai- figures, for example, all have quite a lot on them. ThereArentSteps (talk) 04:52, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Alright, bringing this back up. I'd like a few more heads to help us figure out what exactly we're covering here. I like ThereArentSteps's approach and TSH's idea of grouping everything that can be grouped together (like the Funko Pop! Vinyls and the Play Arts Kai figures. And everything else that isn't a set or group should have its own article, even if it's small (think some of tye individual ability articles on the wiki). I still think every officially licensed item should be covered, even if it is a little insignificant and doesn't have too much information. I know it's a lot but I think that's the most correct thing to do. KeybladeSpyMaster 19:37, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

I don't typically edit on there merchandise page since I don't keep up with those sort of things, but from what's being discussed, I think smaller merchandise that don't have enough content to them should probably be on a list page, while merchandise such as the Play Arts Kai figurines should have their own due their size and content.--NinjaSheik 20:20, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
