Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png Although Gummi Ship is article of the month, there are still many things to be covered to get this gameplay section of Kingdom Hearts I & II completed. I think the articles about the specific Gummi elements are fine as they are but the in-depth and strategy like pieces of information are mostly missing. In the recent past the Gummi Enemies and Routes of Kingdom Hearts II got a complete overhaul and are up to date (with some minor corrections to be done).

Here are some things that should be changed/added/discussed in the future:

  • Gummi Routes for KH & KHII: The routes for KH are completely missing, for KHII there is only a list. Maybe there should be a map.
  • Gummi Missions for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I know, only 1% of the wiki members have the Final Mix version, but there isn't much do be done. A summarizing table for all 30 missions should be enough. The important informations are: Route, Mission Number (1,2 or 3), Objective, Difficulty (1-5 stars) and Prize. Here is a faq which covers all that information. I solved all missions with that so it is accurate too.
  • the different Gummi Block types. They are a lot of trouble because of two things: Because of needed redirects the Gummi Blocks that appear both in KH I & II should be displayed on the same page, even if they are ordered in different categories in each game. They should also be put in table-like templates to make the articles more uniformly. I made an attempt on the KHII Material Gummi page. This isn't final and will likely be different for some gummi block types or for KH I & II. At least the necessary information for each Gummi Block is already present, although that's not true for the changes that were made in both Final Mix versions. At best this should be covered also, but at the moment I don't know what would be the best way.
  • Blueprints for KH & KHII and the Teeny Ships. There is a lot of information missing for both games. I made an attempt for the Special Blueprints of Kingdom Hearts II, it's not final either. The Final Mix changes aren't listed as aren't the Japanese names.
  • Gummi Enemies of KH. The information there is completely wrong, these are actually stats for the KH blueprints. I don't know why the Bradygames guide doesn't list the Gummi enemy stats, but the Piggyback and the Ultimania do. So everbody with these one of these guides can help.
  • Gummi Abilities of KHII. These are complete and correct, although some of them are duplicate in the Tenny Ship article. But maybe they should also be put in a table like all other Abilities.
  • new articles or new section in existing articles that should cover the point system of KHFM and medal sytem of KHII in more detail
  • Redirects. Although most information is available right know, there are a lot or red links in the the Gummi Mission and Blueprints articles
  • Spelling. The Bradgygames guide names all KHII gummies with "/G" at the end, even if they used "-G" for their KH guide. I like the latter more, which is more wiki friendly and already used for all the KHII Gummi Mission articles. So they should be renamed but that's not my decision. Also almost everywhere it reads "gummis" instead of "gummies". I don't know if this is a special KH term, but we could completely avoid a discussion if we use "gummi blocks" instead.
  • Images of Gummi Enemies, images of Gummi Blueprints, images of Gummi Blocks, images of Gummi Abilities, images of Gummi Routes. They are missing all over the place, but I have them almost ready. The just need to be cut out and uploaded. As easy as it sounds, it still takes a lot of time, so I will upload them one after another. But still everybody can help. For example good screenshots of the Gummi routes or missions are needed too.

So, what do you think?

Xemnas's Replica Data KHIIFM.png I'm glad you made this project, the Gummi articles need work. I can't help with much of it, but I'll certainly get descriptions for the enemies and anything else needed.

Eternal Flames KHD.png Since this project is 6 years old, there's been some changes! So here's a revised list of things to be done:
  • Gummi Routes for KH & KHII: The routes for KH are completely missing, for KHII there is only a list. Maybe there should be a map.
  • Gummi Missions for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Now that we have 1.5, this should be much easier. A summarizing table for all 30 missions should be enough. The important information is: Route, Mission Number (1,2 or 3), Objective, Difficulty (1-5 stars) and Prize. Here is a faq which covers all that information. Shard solved all missions with that so it is accurate too. Not that the guide is for the vanilla KHFM, not the 1.5 ReMIX. Someone should check to see if the 1.5 versions match the KHFM versions, and act accordingly.
Shard made an attempt for the Special Blueprints of Kingdom Hearts II, it's not final either. The Final Mix changes aren't listed as aren't the Japanese names.
KHII Also needs to be split into the different "model" pages. "Farm Blueprints to "Highwind Model", etc. Keep Sample Blueprint types together, to illustrate design evolution"
  • The "Gummi Enemies" page was deleted as requested, but the table was be moved to my sandbox in a hidden section at the bottom of the page just in case. However, the information there is completely wrong, as the table holds the stats for the KH blueprints, not the enemies themselves. I don't know why the Bradygames guide doesn't list the Gummi enemy stats, but the Piggyback and the Ultimania do. So everybody with these one of these guides can help.
  • Gummi Abilities of KHII. These are complete and correct, although some of them are duplicate in the Tenny Ship article. But maybe they should also be put in a table like all other Abilities. Looks like this has been completed!
  • new articles or new section in existing articles that should cover the point system of KHFM and medal sytem of KHII in more detail
  • Broken Redirects. There are a lot or red links in the the Gummi Mission and Blueprints articles. These should be taken care of after the models have individual pages.
I don't think there's anything left with the /G suffix, but if there is, it should be changed to -G.
  • Images of Gummi Enemies, images of Gummi Blueprints, images of Gummi Blocks, images of Gummi Abilities, images of Gummi Routes. I'm not sure if this has been completed yet, but Shard has uploaded a ton of them, if not all. Talk to him to see what needs to be ripped/uploaded yet. Even good screenshots can be used, not just rips.
  • Gummi Ship and Gummi Blocks (as well as their respective redirects) should be merged into Gummi. Eternal Flames KHD.png

I'm not really sure, but I believe KHII uses "/G" in-game, and KH uses "-G". If that's true, we should name the KHII redirects as /G and the KH ones as -G. As for the individual gummi redirects for gummis that have a different use between games, I believe the plan was to have disambigs leading to the different pages, like Fire-G, while having direct redirects named Fire-G (KH) and Fire/G (KHII).

Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png You're right, the English translation of KHII uses "/G", something I didn't know six years ago, I thought it was just the guide.
  • What we need are some good concepts. The information for the KHII gummi ships is already there, so we "just" need a new template for splitting the page in the same vein as the KH models. Tiny ships should probably incorporated, upgrades should be tabbed, ships with the same name as KH models should be put on the same page.
  • I'm still not sure what should be done about the KH routes, they are part of the KH model template, so either they are linked or should get a better naming scheme so you can identify their route easier.
  • Links, links, links. I'm still not convinced the links to the gummi blocks serve any purpose when they all link to the same page where you still have to search through the tabs for the right block.
  • Gummi missions could get their own page, put on the same page as the routes (if they get one) or put in the game space of the worlds because they are essentially tied to them.
  • The biggest work load are the stats and blueprints for the KH gummi models. The stats can be found here but the blueprints have to be taken from the Ultimania or the game, which is a mind-numbing task. At least all images are uploaded, even all variations of the KH enemy models, I still can't believe we had the patience to do that.

Gummi blocks have stats, right? We could give each gummi block its own page with an infobox and the blueprints it appears in. It wouldn't have much info on it, but it would be easier to find than in the tabbed tables.

Regarding Gummi Blocks, getting the redirects to work with tabbed tables is an ongoing goal. In the meantime, I don't think we need to erase these, as they don't prevent the redirect from going where it would anyway. Also, the consensus last time was to create disambigs for similarly named Blocks. I don't think they should be split into individual pages since so much of choosing which block to use requires direct comparison, which is made more difficult by not having the data side-by-side. This is one of the rare cases where I think a list article serves the reader better.
Regarding Blueprints and Enemy ships, I believe Shard has posted a link to a google doc with the complete info, we just need to convert it into articles.
Regarding routes -- do we just want to split it up per world parser? "Gummi Route (Ag-HT)", or something. Create articles for Gummi Missions, etc.
I think a good first goal would be to finish splitting off the KH1 Gummi Models and making articles for them. We already have the infobox for it, we have stats via Shard, it's just a matter of a ton of patience. But it allows us to make solid progress while we get more familiar with what our possibilities are."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:57, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
