Keyblade-Blk.png So, walkthroughs will be hosted here in the Walkthroughspace. What we need to do now is decide the format for the walkthroughs. Right now the general idea is simply "by world," which would go pretty chronologically and linearly through the games.

The important decision to be made in this forum thread is what the walkthroughs will explicitly include. We want concrete suggestions and opinions justified by previous walkthroughs, such as:

  • "I like bulbapedia's heartgold soulsilver guide, and I think we should use feature X, Y, and Z for our walkthrough."

... Discuss!

Suggestions:
  • Use mini-tables for enemies and treasures within a room, organize each page by room. Merge rooms when they are just passages, and not locations for events.
  • For mini-games and shops, cover those at the beginning of the world, as a general "what's here". Maybe also have a mini-gallery list of NPCs.
  • Like the bulbapedia guide and the official Pokemon guides, have a final "Later..."-type section that lists what else there is to do in the world, and when you can do it.
  • Like Sorcerer Nobody's Days guide, keep an appendix page with tables for all items, shops, sort of thing.
  • Like the original KH guide and the Bulbapedia guide, have mini-bubbles for bosses, with major stats, hideable description of attacks, and hideable general strategy for victory.
  • Use scanned, ripped, or fanmade maps for each world. Where needed, have submaps for rooms with indications of paths needing to be taken, sort of thing.

Again, I will state my ideas for Days walkthrough.

Since we already have articles that explains each mission in the game, we can just make an article, decorate it, and put the links to all the missions. And maybe put the stories and days in the middle of the mission links (Something like Sorceror Nobody's walkthrough, only the mission boxes are replaced with links. Also, we can put "Next Mission", "Back to Story", and "Previous Mission" buttons on each of the mission articles.

"Yes, but Rimmer Directive 271 states just as clearly: 'No chance, you metal bastard.'"

Days is pretty much done. All we need are the appendixes, and the contents page. Anything that our current guides have that the mission pages don't, we need to cannibalize them and then delete the user walkthroughs.

710MS.png Currently, my Arenero lists most pages for the walkthroughs for KH1 and KHII. My links are for each trip (marked with Roman numerals), but can be changed (it better, since there is not much to do during SP's first trip and during the assumed ten minutes spent in HB between the first two trips for SP)

I'm currently gathering infomation for the Disney Worlds in KH1 (at the moment, it's Wonderland, since my family's currently watching Aladdin, and I'm waiting for it to end for Agrabah). Have anything needed to change with the links, just tell me! At least the walkthroughs give me something to do here...

*uses ancient hocus-pocus to revive dead thread*

I think we need a directory page for each game's walkthrough (I'm talking about Walkthrough:[insert game name here] as a directory page, listing the links for each world's walkthroughs). I made a basic design on the page. And yes we can make the tables rounded, add more in the summary and maybe decorate it a little more. So... thoughts?

Yes, absolutely. A directory is one of the best things we need for a walkthough.

TALK - Come to the Dark Side! We have cooler Keyblades!
So you are going to make a page for each world, that's good I would suggest you go down a page putting the maps for those areas on the right and on the left put the stats of that area; where treasures are, heartless, events, etc. I think the way Brandygames does it is the best way to do a guide.

678FMS.png Well, my work for the KH1 walkthrough is nearly completed. I've got most pages done, and I'm soon going to draft the page for the 100 Acre Wood. I'm still going to contribute to this walkthrough every day until we can agree that it's "finished"; that way, we can get on towards the one for KHII (and I'll finally be able to do the walkthroughs for my favourite worlds).

Well, now is the time for the admins to correct my work, and maybe do a template for the party members. I've added a picture of each party member to each walkthrough (exept the Beast, as there is not enough written work on that world's walkthrough), and I've just added the pics for Sora, Donald and Goofy in their alternate forms for Atlantica and Halloween Town.
