TALK - Or "Kingdom Hearts", but that would be a byotch on the categories. Anyway, we all know that we have a problem with getting personal-attacky in debates and edit comments, and I can definitely say that, as the biggest jerkass on the wiki, I'm hardly setting a good example. So, the proposal is basically like this: We institute a no-tolerance policy for personal attacks. Any personal attack, no matter the "seniority" of the editor in question or the "rightness" of their viewpoint, gets a warning. However, if you get a warning for a personal attack, you can choose to volunteer at the Heartless Manufactory with whoever you attacked. When you do so, a third editor (has to be registered, but otherwise can be anybody) chooses a needed task for you and the person you were fighting with to work on: creating a "wanted article", filling in the notes archives for one of the Projects, categorizing images, replacing image links, etc. Once you and the other editor complete this task, the warning is removed from your talk page, and for all intents and purposes it never happened. Basically, it's a "learn to appreciate each other OR go to jail" type of idea. And as the worst offender, I'll even do one with each person I've insulted in the past, if they want to. Thoughts?

LapisScarab - You accept darkness, yet choose to live in the light. So why is it that you loathe us who teeter on the edge of nothing? We who were turned away by both light and dark - never given a choice? TALK - That may be... however, what other choice might we have had? Why not, better than just slapping people with wanings and pissing them off more. Quick question though. How would we define a "personal attack" exactly? Is it just being an ass to a user in general, or more specific?

Makes more sense then "be nice or else", which is less effective for regular and prolific editors. And it'll finally give us an official way to remove warnings, which I don't believe we've had.

But seriously, any type of ad hominem attack. For example, when Kronos told me I was stupid, and I told Kronos not be a twat. We would get warnings, and go to the Manufactory to get an assignment. (Technically it happened on the other wiki, but if he wants to, I'll go first with him)

The Inexistent - All your base are belong to us... TALK - What you say?!? When you say "New forum", do you mean that this will be a new forum entirely? If so, I believe it would be a problem. A sixth forum? Well, I suppose that we could just send The Keyblade War to Oblivion and get the inevitable over with...

The Inexistent - Dusk, Light to Darkness... TALK - The great transition. That, I believe, dear Crono, is the point. Once you go through all of this crap once, it will hopefully deter you from repeating the offense (kinda like prison). At the same time, it will also keep those who are causing trouble busy.

I second the idea wholeheartedly. ^_^ EDIT 05:05, 19 February 2011 (EST) : I'd also go with Heartless Manufactory for the name — the header is easier to handle than Kingdom Hearts (and in fact, I've handled it). AS IF! The world is garbage! CRUNCH! I like this idea. It's better then constantly handing out warnings, and it'll help the wiki too. And as for the name, I like "Heartless Manufactory", but I think that calling it "The Door to Darkness" would fit too, considering it takes two keys to seal it.

To be fair, a lot of the problem is arseholes like me who delight in passive aggression (or outright aggression, as the case may be).

However, if the second user refuses to go to the manufactory...I guess the first can still go. However, one of the main points of this idea is not just "to be like prison", but to force the two offenders to see how helpful the other can be. That doesn't work so well when it's just two random people. However, as long as it is a much rarer and last resort scenario, being paired up with someone unrelated can be an option."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." But if there are repeated offenders, i.e. people who constantly bash other users, would they be allowed to go to the Manufactory as many times as they want, and we'd let all of their offenses slide? Or is there a limit to how many warnings you can drop?

TALK - Again, once you complete a trip to the Manufactory, your offense never happened. Nobody jags you for it, it isn't used against you in any way, and the warning is erased from your talk page.

Can I go first!? *shot* Like I ever was a bashful user <.< *shot again* Okay... enough... I like the idea very much! And both names are okay, but may I propose I third one? "Castle Oblivion". I know there wasn't much Co-oping in CoM but Castle Oblivion would fit as a name since it involves "erasing memories" (in this case, offenses), it takes two people (a Sora and a Riku. Or a Riku and a Mickey.. or whatever) and a third one to choose a task (Naminé and DiZ anyone?) But, whatever. Again, great idea. Demonic Saint Yeah!
