I've noticed that on many games and franchises the fans or other people draw parallels to other works that they see in their games,Tv shows or whatever....kingdom hearts is no different. most of the time its "Star wars" parallels the see due to "the Force" like qualities of light and darkness and the struggles they create.

I myself see "star wars" as well in a few places in KH,BBS being eerily similar to the SW prequel trilogy and the series as a whole to me is like a Disney version of "sliders". I recently purchased this old 80's comics story line, and found it similar to KH 1's story in some ways.

its not completely the same but there were parts that made me think about kingdom hearts 1:

.a seemingly unstoppable force is wiping out the worlds of the multiverse.

.Heroes from different worlds team up and travel to the few remaining worlds to stem back the flood of darkness/antimatter by safeguarding a cosmic keystone from being destroyed or manipulated....like the keyholes.

.the main villain is destroying worlds to increase his own power and wipe out the positive matter universe/ Realm of light and remake reality in his image. travels to a place where he can do it all in one stroke: Anti-monitor at the beginning of time, Ansem S.O.D at the door to darkness, the entrance to where the real Kingdom hearts resides.

.the heroes end up fighting a gigantic version of the villain, and all his technology and powers.

.the villain is defeated, but its bittersweet.

although unlike C.O.I.E, KH's multiverse was fully restored at the end of the story, minus the dream worlds.

so I guess you could see Kingdom hearts, the original as a sort of Crisis on Infinite Disney worlds?

what do you think, and what other works of media remind you of kingdom hearts, or any one of their games?

I don't think DC is related to Kingdom Hearts at all. — 19:39, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

--MatermindSypher08 (talk) 15:19, 20 September 2014 (UTC)MatermindSypher08: I guess I didn't make my post clear. I meant to say that the plot and situation in DC comics C.O.I.E reminds me of the First kingdom hearts plot in some ways. And to be honest now that I think of it, Master Xehanorts plan with the X-blade would work on the same level of multi-universal destruction and re-creation in Xehanorts own image as the Anti-monitors plan to destroy the DC multiverse at the dawn of time would.

So with the worlds being destroyed one by one by the heartless and Ansem S.O.D, villains uniting, heroes from different worlds (and franchises) world hopping to save the multiverse from destruction....the situation of Kingdom hearts 1 could be seen as a Disney/Final Fantasy styled "crisis on infinite earths" like crisis crossover story.

And I'm betting Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a Crisis crossover just like the first 2 again, the stakes are higher this time.

The point of my post was to ask if anyone else see's anything from other media in the kingdom hearts saga or agrees that the plot of KH reminded them of this or any other form of media dealing with multiple worlds or whatnot.

sorry if I didn't make that clear.

It should be Marvel Instead of DC Disney owns Marvel more users on this wiki should think of Marvel. Byzantinefire (talk) 16:00, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
Calm down. It doesn't matter whether Disney owns DC or Marvel. He was just noting the similarities between the Kingdom Hearts plot and the DC one. It's nothing worth stressing that we should think Marvel only because Disney owns Marvel. Besides, this is the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, not the DisneyWiki. In truth, in the Kingdom Hearts community, Kingdom Hearts can be tied to any universe, whether Disney owns that universe or not. As far as the post, I've never read comics, so I can't say whether there's a similarity. However, I've noticed that those kinds of similarities between other universes are really common.
