678MS.png Lately, I've been working on the walkthroughs for Kingdom Hearts II (mostly Port Royal and Atlantica), and I've thought of an idea to help make the walkthrough even more unique. My idea is that the colors of the templates (other than the Table of Contents at the bottom of the pages) should match the style of the world that the page is reprisenting. To trigger the colors, we just add in the abbreviated versions of each world's name (in the case with the Land of Dragons, we type TLOD, to aviod confusion with the Land of Departure).

I told KK about it, and he thinks it's a great idea. He also suggested that the boxes match the style of the command menus of each world, but getting them won't be easy...

Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png Hm, adjusting the color of the templates to the world is a good idea, but redesign the template in the image of the command menu could be a visual overkill. I still can extract the images, although I don't know how useful they are at this point.

480MS.png Somebody said on the IRC last night that making it look similar to the command boxes is not possible, and 17m said that using the colors with the boss templates will only make things confusing (as in, it will be hard to tell whether the boss is a Heartless, Nobody or a Somebody), but it will still work great with the mini-games, party members and what other template we decided to put in.

EDIT 12:30, 4 February 2012 (UTC): The experiment with the mini-game template's not looking so good. Reason: the colors ready don't really match with the KH style, especially with Agrabah. Is it eve possible for us to provide our own colors, like several other wikis have?

You can use all and any color in existence here, you just need to know the hex value of said color.--Dark-EnigmaXIII 14:41, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

I thought these are the only colors permitted? When it comes to certain templates, we don't have the correct colors. UxieLover1994 15:05, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

To be specific, the idea wouldn't go well on the Boss template because the color combination might be bad. For example, a Heartless (purple) with Deep Jungle (green) wouldn't mix very well, would it? And as for colors, like DE said, you can get them by knowing the hex value of it. And there's no restriction for using colors, those are some examples of colors's hex values. You can get more color here.

710MS.png Thanks for the tips. (Please note that Uxie refuses to regonise Deep Jungle as a world)

Well, guess I can now fully complete the experiment without having to use the defult colors that Wikia gave us. I'll start with Agrabah, then Space Paranoids (and, in some ways, The Grid) and so on until it's ready to be shown. Note that my gameplay for Kingdom Hearts II will begin as early as tomorrow.

"Yes, but Rimmer Directive 271 states just as clearly: 'No chance, you metal bastard.'"

TALK -
I really don't think we need to depict, in the infobox colors, the species of the boss. Except for Final Form and Wisdom Form, it has no impact on gameplay. I think the infobox color schemes should be totally derived from the world.

480MS.png Um? I can't really speak nerd, so I have no idea what you meant.

Anyway, I think my mini-game color draft for Port Royal is completed. Check my Arenero to see. (As I write this, I'm already up to Port Royal)

EDIT: Well, if we should not show whether the boss is a Heartless, a Nobody or a Somebody, then how will people know what it is? I'm lost as it is, and we've yet to draft our boss template. Let's hope we can come up with something soon. It won't be much longer until I reach The World That Never Was, you know...
