Eternal Nothingness XIII - Terra Master Symbol.png I'm not afraid of what the darkness holds now. Even if you do wrest control of my heart from me, even if you cast me into the deepest, darkest abyss, you'll never sway me from the one cause that pushes me to keep on fighting. Whatever the cost, I'm ready to pay it.

Earthshaker Keychain KHBBS.png So we have :
  1. Game Template
  2. Game Navis

I feel that this may become to redundant in the future. Also look at how much space is taken up with just the three or four game navis we have now... The game template all ready says which game something appears in, granted the navis allow easy access to pages. But posting multiple game navis opens double-links, hence redundancy. It doesn't make sense to delete things from a template as that makes it "incomplete", and we can't just limit one game navi per page, as that wouldn't make much sense at all. I'd like to thank Azul for bringing this to my attention, regardless of the fact that I had considered this before...

Basically the issue is : Game Navis... do they stay or go? It's either that or we delete some of the more redundant/less informational navis like Secret Characters and whatnot...

Also, we may wish to consider (after any redundant template deletions, of course) to only place game navis (if they stay) on the pages specifically listed on the navi, regardless of whether or not something actually appears in the game the navi is for.

KrytenKoro - Most bears were content to live their lives, mauling and eating one, maybe two humans at most. "Mass-murder," as the bears always said, "is for the sharks." But not Barry. Barry was different. He knew that one day, he would kill ALL of the humans. This is the inspiring, tear-jerking story of one bear and the dream he dared to dream.
TALK -
With a smaller game, full game navis make sense, but with the amount of topics we have in each game, it makes more sense to have navis for specific topics, and categories for the games. Plus, we already have the header symbols.

I don't mind them that much. They are useful for lazy people and/or visitors. We can remove templates that don't have the article it's on in it as a link. Example, weapon templates on character pages

There's a thought, Azul. DTN said something about making a template that somehow had the game navi info in one large template... or something along those lines...

The helpful thing about the game navigational templates is that the provide links to various topic within one story arc. This helps a reader stay within one story arc (game), and lessen any confusion, difficulty, or misunderstanding. However, the issue with the game navigational templates is that they will crowd up an article's end massively. To solve this, I could design a template that works like the [show]/[hide] tabs and a navigational template. When opened, it should show all of the navigational templates that would be on the article, yet will appear as just one when it is closed. The title of it could be "Navigation", without a link.

And to comment on Azul's suggestion, I do agree that a navigational template should only be placed on articles that it links to. The weapon navigational templates on character articles is a perfect example of that, especially with the shape that our weapon articles from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days are currently in.
