I've always defeted demyx on the first try. Why is he so easy??
And another question: how come the data replica of Demyx is so hard ? Well, don't ask me - I find it hard to eliminate all the water clones he makes of himself.
Tried using Firaga, Reflega, Wisdom Form, Limit Form (Ragnarok) - and none of them seem to work because I can hardly get past the second round of clones.

Blizzaga the water clones, which allows you to use the Reaction Command, use it, and then use Firaga on the water clones that get sucked in. XienZo 16:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

To me he wasnt so much of a hard opponent but a tricky one, but i always lost (and everyone seems to complain about the same) because of the water clones, i mean in terms of power he wasnt strong ie if he didnt use the clones hed be very easy but like Luxord uses tricks in order to become a damn hard opponent
Demyx himself was pretty easy, but it took me weeks to beat him. I doubt I'll ever be able to wipe out 10 forms in 10 seconds, but if you have any M.P, I suggest using Comet. (Bananaphone1996 23:50, April 16, 2010 (UTC))

I find him hard to beat, you now. I manage to beat him easier by disabling Goofy's limit (since he is thought killed in the next scene). I sometimes lose, but I keep trying. I sometimes get scared and breathe faster as if I am having a child. I only find a few other bosses harder, such as Xaldin. Thank you, Amalia

Meanwhile, my PS2 is locked - so I've gotta wait till early June, when my A-Levels exams are over, before I can get my hands on that Demyx Data Rematch once again.

Why is everyone saying that Demyx was so easy? He was one of the hardest fights in the game for me. I must've spent a month or so before taking him down. The only boss that took me longer to defeat was Xemnas at the very end of the game (and probably Sephiroth if I ever bothered to fight him but I don't). He's quite tricky. The part that always got me was when he did that "Come on, kick to the beat." attack. I only beat him when I equipped aerial combos and began using limits.
3 words. DEMYX IS HARD. The End. Took me forever to beat him. Nearly slapped myself in the face when I beat him summoning the Genie. I mean c'mon How stupid could I get?

That's the one thing that always gets me in this series, I keep on forgetting to use summons. I only defeated Demyx following a simple strategy: Don't stay far away, and you'll have to keep on doing this for another day.

Demyx is extremely hard. I stopped playing KH2 for a few months because of him. Donalds limit finally saved me. Xemnas was 10x easier than him in my opinion. Xaldin and Xigbar pretty much match Demyx in levels of Hardness.
Demyx is HARD. And I was playing on Easy mode. EASY, for crying out loud! "Defeat 100 water forms in 20 seconds"? Insanity! Blasphemy! Madness! Sparta, even!

What are you guys TALKING about! I played the game on hard and he was a pushover! Defeating 100 water forms in 20 seconds? I did it in 10-15 (depending on how I was doing that day) all you got to do is wait a couple of seconds, run over to the guy and have all of the clones form around you. Grab on of the notes, do the limit brake and you got an easy 15 to 20 right there. 30 if your lucky.
I remember a time when Demyx was hard *dreams nonsensically* He was hard at first to me, honestly, but now I could beat him in (maybe) a few tries. But it was Xaldin who I really had trouble with. Come to think of it, I spent more time fighting Xaldin and Demyx than fighting Xemnas, the final boss. The only reason I faced Xemnas multiple times was to see the KHII ending, which was brilliant to me back in the day. But come to think of it, the only way I lost to Xemnas was because of that stupid dragon form that you had to fight on a bike. Talk about tedious. --The Yoshiman 97 04:39, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Have you ever wondered; why do you lose to Demyx if you don't beat the water replicas? It's not like they hurt you... or overpopulate you :P
Perhaps it's for the challenge. I suppose hitting Demyx just like that wouldn't seem much of a challenge. Imagine, whilst Luxord is a gamer and the rest of the Organisation are melee fighters, Demyx lies somewhere in between the two categories.
But I admit, the water clones have made the Data Replica too hard for me.

Each time you get near one, they sneak some water into your lungs, and the only way to make it vaporize is to destroy the "core" of the water, the water clone. Also, Luxord's cards are actually parallel dimensions. And I am totally making bull up as I go along.

Loneliness ? Well, the only part where I can say Demyx is an epitome of sorrow is when he dies. Heard the way he cries in despair ? User:Unbirth wrote in the French equivalent of the Demyx article that "he died in an ultimate cry of despair"... now that came so profoundly to me.

Hmmmm....I wonder, what if it was a shortened name for him in his past life? Think of it, the name Eydm could have been short for, maybe, Edmond or something along the lines of that. That's the only thing I can think of, because all the others sound like they are just gibberish (except that Myde thing, that was good, and probably more likely.)
When I finally beat Demyx, the Genie was a big help, during the battle he'd like pick you up or something and swing you around. It took away one and a half of Demyx's health bar, and you could here him yelling ow! repeatly in the background. What do you think Demyx's human life was like? We know it was why he plays his sitar, and always fixes his hair. I just got hit with a crazy theory just a bit ago... is it possible that Demyx was a rockstar in his somebody life, or a rockstar-wannabe? <:) I like the idea, although I haven't heard of any sort of rock stars in Kingdom Hearts, so I don't think it's likely. Does anyone else think that Demyx was put in the game at the last possible moment. First off he only appears three times; the first doesn't count because the whole (remaining) organization was there and he did nothing. The second he, in the coliseum, he had no contact (that we know of) with anyone other than Sora and co. and was only seen running around like idiot before stealing the stone then going the direction that Sora and co. had to go (towards Meg), so nothing would have been lost if Herc had given Sora the stone and not just said it was stolen. Finally his boss-battle seems counter-productive to the organization, because if he had killed Sora than they would not have been able to use him to kill the 1,000 heartless, releasing lots of hearts that they needed. So because of this I think he was only added to make Organization XII (12) the much more amazingly named Organization XIII or moved as a boss from the World that Never Was to an early point to lessen up the end of the game (which had way too much content). Seriously? In Days when Roxas asks a similar question, Axel says not to think poorly of Demyx. And in KH2, when you fight Demyx, he is actually one of the hardest bosses, even if your prepared.
