The Ether is a recurring item that was introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It can typically be used in battle to restore MP to the user, or to a target of the user's choosing.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts, an Ether restores three magic points to one party member.

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Ether is an item card that instantly restores all magic cards that have been used, but not those lost through sleights.

In Kingdom Hearts II, an Ether fully restores the MP bar of the user. If it is being recharged, the Ether reduces the MP Charge Gauge.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Ether is an item panel which restores one cast of each type of magic installed by the user.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Ether is an item command that restores 30% of the user's Focus Gauge. One slot in the Command Deck can hold four Ethers.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Ether is an item command that raises Data-Sora's Clock level by one. One slot in the Command Deck can hold three Ethers, with a memory consumption of 11%.

In Kingdom Hearts III, an Ether partially restores the MP bar. If it is being recharged, the Ether reduces the MP Charge Gauge.
