The Crescent is a Claymore that can be wielded by Saïx in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Crescent+.

DesignEdit

The Crescent has a black handle with a white spike in its pommel. One end of its gold guard is flat and the other sports two curved spikes. The shaft of the blade has concave edges, with the outer edge having a slightly deeper curve than the inner edge. The tip of the blade is comprised of three curved, oblong spikes. The entire blade is light blue with blue edges.

When Saïx enters his berserker state, the shaft of the Crescent becomes a more organized curve. Its outer edge is lined by three short, upward-curving spikes. True to the weapon's name, the tip has now become an enormous crescent, slightly longer than the shaft of the blade. The tips of the three spikes and the edges of the tip now sport additional white blades with sky blue edges lining them.

Its name refers to a crescent moon, Moon being Saïx's attribute.

GameplayEdit

The Crescent's ground combo starts with two consecutive, near-vertical slashes upward, followed by a leap and a 360° spinning attack, and it ends with a downward vertical slash.

The aerial combo consists of a dash forward in mid-air and a 360° spinning swipe, then a fast sideways slash, followed by an upward diagonal slash and a powerful downward vertical slash.
