 Although Cloud is a much weaker boss than Sephiroth in ''Kingdom Hearts'', the fact he was able to go head-to-head with him in ''Kingdom Hearts II'' implies that he wasn't fighting as hard as he could against Sora. Since he acted as a supporting character, but not as a party member in ''Kingdom Hearts II'', Cloud is immune to damage during the period of time he helps Sora's party.
