Template:Enemy Carpet is a character from Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. He serves mainly as transportation in Agrabah.

Story

Kingdom Hearts

Carpet is trapped under a drawer when Sora, Donald, and Goofy enter Aladdin's house. Once they release him, Carpet leads them to the desert where they find Aladdin and Abu, trapped in quicksand and surrounded by Heartless. Carpet later bears Sora and the others out of the Cave of Wonders as it collapses.

After completing the Final Keyhole and relocating Kairi to Traverse Town, Sora can "talk" to Carpet in Aladdin's house, and he leads the party to a disturbance in the desert caused by a powerful Heartless, Kurt Zisa. After they defeat the massive Heartless, Carpet takes them back to Agrabah.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Carpet is a character residing in Agrabah during the events of the game who is always seen with Genie. At first, when Carpet sees Roxas, he believes the Nobody to be Sora. However, Genie does not see the similarity between the two, and dismisses Carpet's claim.

Kingdom Hearts II

Carpet and Genie went off to travel the world a year ago, leaving Aladdin depressed because of the town's lack of excitement. Carpet and Genie later return to Agrabah separately during Sora's first visit.

When Sora returns the second time, Carpet serves as their ride through the Desert Ruins to hunt Jafar, and later to escape. Carpet also helps Sora when he takes on Genie-Jafar by acting as a "platform" for Sora to stand on so he can fight in the air. After the defeat of Jafar, Carpet becomes part of Sora's mini-game in Agrabah's Desert Ruins.

Later, Carpet flies with Aladdin and Jasmine on his back, with Genie and Iago following close behind.

Appearance

Carpet is an ornate Persian carpet with gold lining and tassels that it uses as "hands" and "feet". A second gold rectangle splits Carpet's designs into two sections. The outer section's background is han blue in color and covered in gold and navy blue disk-like patterns. Each corner sports a vaguely catfish shaped design with a gold outline and red center. The inner section's background is also han blue with a swirling, amethyst-colored pattern surrounding a gold and red pattern in the center that vaguely resembles a flower. The corners of this section each bear a gold tiger with white eyes, black nostrils, and a red mouth, possibly representing the Cave of Wonders Guardian. At both widths of the inner border is a red flame pattern with a thin gold outline.

Origin

Carpet is originally from the 1992 Disney movie Aladdin. When Aladdin and Abu ventures in the Cave of Wonders in search for Genie's lamp, Carpet spots them and reveals himself. Initially timid, Carpet quickly befriends Aladdin and Abu and shows them the way to Genie's lamp inside the cave, although Abu originally protest the idea of letting letting Carpet join them. When the cave was on the verge of collapse, Carpet tries to fly out with Aladdin and Abu, but was unable to make it out. After Aladdin rubs the lamp and Genie appears, Carpet and the latter exchange friend greetings, having known each other for many centuries. With Genie's aid, Carpet was able to fly out of the cave with Aladdin and Abu. Throughout the film, Carpet stayed with Aladdin, Abu, and Genie and acts as their means of transportation. On one occasion, Aladdin offers Jasmine a romantic ride on Carpet across the world. When Jafar usurps the Sultan, he banishes Aladdin, Abu, and Carpet out of Agrabah. Once the three were reunited, Carpet flies to the palace in order to retrieve Genie's lamp back from Jafar. During the battle, Carpet was unraveled into strings by Jafar's magic, but was restored to normal once he was defeated.
