Blizzard Edge is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to wrap the Keyblade in ice and perform a jumping attack, like Quick Blitz, that deals blizzard damage. In Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, ice bursts from the ground for additional damage.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Blizzard Edge is a Basic attack command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has maximum level of 3 and a normal reload time of 10 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 20%.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Blizzard Edge is an attack command that has a memory consumption of 13%, a reload time of 12 seconds, and fills the Clock Gauge by 210 points. It has a 10% chance of freezing enemies.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Blizzard Edge is an attack command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 14 seconds. It grants +2 to Strength and +10 to Blizzard Resistance when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.
