Avatar Shift

Avatar Shift (アバターシフト, Abatā Shifuto) is an ability in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to create a double when dodging.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts III, Avatar Shift is a mobility ability exclusive to the Mirage Staff Formchange. When in combat, pressing while tilting allows Sora to spawn an ethereal copy of himself. Up to four copies of Sora can be active at a time, and dodging after four copies are active will cause the earliest spawned to disappear. If at least one clone is active, the Attack command will be replaced with Avatar Barrage. The clones will disappear if either 10 seconds has passed, an Avatar Barrage combo finisher was used, or if the Formchange has expired. No matter what world he is in, the copies will all be of Sora's normal human form.
